Introduction

Hi, you've probably found this on reddit or a friend sent this link to you.
This spreadsheet should help you with planning your system and understanding more about the colonization system overall.

A few things to note:

The names of buildings might be a little bit different, but you can always edit them to match the ones you like. Why they are different you ask? Some buildings have two or three different names in the UI, so you might know an "Orbital Installation Agricultural" as a "Space Farm"
The commodities required per building very much vary, FDev is tweaking numbers daily and the values also vary by system too, the discrepancy between my values (for my system) compared to yours can be up to 10% (so far...), so keep that in mind
Since you'll be needing these numbers for cargo hauling, I recommend adding an offset value to start with, so by the end the "Remaining" columns have the number you are looking for. You can also tweak the numbers yourself in the "CommoditiesRequired" sheet, but its a bit of a hassle changing that everytime
Make a copy of this sheet, in order to edit it!

System Stats

Since we don't know much about the colonization system yet, a few assumptions were made and this is very much subject to change:
* Primary and Secondary economies are assumed to be the most common values between the various system influences given by buildings, e.g three agricultural system influences, two military, one industrial. Agricultural and Military economies;
* The building stats (blue/red arrows in the UI) stack - maybe they do? maybe they don't? we will learn more in the upcoming weeks;

How to use this

System Planner - This is where you'll plan your system, you can add buildings in the dropdown menus. Tick the "Building?" checkbox to populate the commodities shopping list. Tick the "Built?" checkbox to check your current system stats. You can also change the max cargo and your estimated time per trip to get an estimated time to completion;
Building Efficiency - For the even nerder types out there, some efficiency metrics for buildings based on commodities needed;
Buildings - This is where most of the data has been transcribed to, you can also use it to check how different buildings affect a given system;
CommoditiesRequired - Self explanatory, commodities required per building;
Stat Tracking - System stat tracking, for now just population;
Tier 1, 2, 3 - The first versions of the sheet were for personal use, these tabs were made to check how much work building the different primary ports would be. Kept them there for the beginners who would want a minimalist and quick view;
