4.0, Caretakers:
Perks were adjusted across the board. Renamed "Caretaker of All" to "Lord of the Castle" (cooler name, also a KH reference). "Lord of the Castle" also prevents more than 10 damage per Round.
Bomb calculations changed. New final forms were added for some bosses. Added new Boss: Arch Delphox. No other new Caretakers were added- mechanical changes were the focus of the initial release.

Tier system was implemented. Victories raise Caretaker Tier level by 1, enabling stronger Caretakers to appear. Caretaker Tier lowers on a Party Wipe, equal to the Tier of the foe.
This should help incentivize winning Encounters. Party Wipes were changed for the Tier system. If you don't like where a Caretaker is placed, let me know!

In concert with the new Tier system, and to make Caretakers more of a threat, combat stats were adjusted across the board. Caretaker RNG numbers have been changed with the new organization system.

4.0, Rooms:
Added Plant Room to Trap Artist Rooms. Reorganized for the new Encounter Tier system. No new Rooms were added- mechanical changes were the focus of the intial release. If you don't like where a Room is placed, let me know!

Hypno TV was reworked (hard nerf but better text). Massaging Chair Lock was buffed. Powder Path and Powder Room were tweaked. Added several new effects to Potions Challenge. Reworked Presentation for variety from Hypno TV.
Energy Room consistently has Forced Idle Rolls rather than inconsistent effects. Nerfed Boss Bomb for less stat variance within party. Plushie Pile consistently inflicts Intensity now. Baby Ritual's Full Success effect was changed.

4.0, Events:
Added Events. These are more free-form Encounters that encourage decision-making, player agency, and homebrew. The mechanics listed are not required, only suggested. There are currently 7 Events but more will be added with time.
Events will be added in the next version of the calculator.

4.0, Gear:
Changed many diaper effects. Added Digging, Energy, Books, and Boss-theme (Not) diapers. Added (many) new items, including Event items with strong effects.
Increased Bow's damage to make it a better option (honestly, who was using Bow before for serious reasons?). Fists now always deal 1d2 damage.

4.0, Gear (Magic):
Player/general magic has been reworked and renamed into a new scroll system, where spells are now found as an item (usually after clearing a Room) and can be consumed to cast the spell. This should help encourage spell use.
To compensate for this change, Scroll spells have been rebalanced, and a special "Empower" spell has been added. A party can carry up to two spell scrolls at a time. Added RNG numbers to Scroll spells.

Purify spell was added. Staff was added. Boost spell can now target the caster.

Wand spells have been renamed to Weapon spells with the addition of Staff. Weapon spells can be cast indefinitely, but build up a negative spell modifier with each non-Misfire casting.
Given this change, Wands were given a no-miss weapon spell capability and given a damage buff to give contrast and spellcasting advantage over the new Staff.
Weapon spells were also changed to compensate for their newfound spamability, such as Fireball being lower damage but consistently dealing high damage.

4.0, Statuses:
Removed Idle Roll Tiers from effects and tweaked accordingly. Use Levels were reworked (and now auto-calculated!). Diaper use no longer inflicts FIRs (dunno what I was thinking about doing that, YIKES).
Removed Priority Levels and Background Effects, no longer relevant.

Added Lucky Devil, Loaded Dice, 7th Heaven, GameBab, Carted Around, Distracted, and Flimsy Logic.
Bad Influence and Perfect Example are now flat bonuses instead of RTier difference multipliers (hooray!). Statuses with levels were renamed to scaling names (ex. Sleepy -> Sleepier -> Sleepiest).

4.0, Traits:
Removed Idle Roll Tiers from effects and tweaked accordingly. The three starting Traits were condensed into Continent for reworked Regress Bar. Renamed Devolution to Depowered, Diaper Suit to Themed Suit, and Partial/Full Doggo to TF.
Removed information about Background Effects on all Traits that aren't mutually exclusive. Changed Priority Level to Slot, as well as information within.

Big Pal and Little Leon now inherit Advocate inflictor. Pinkified and Powdered were split, as well as Diaper Suit and Onesie. Various Traits were moved to better-fitting categories.
Foamified and Rattle'd were moved into RTier progression. Removed Lisp, UD Love, Onesie-based Traits, and UD Adoration because of redundancy. All penalties and effects on Traits were tweaked for a better sandbox.

Added the following: Special Formula, Announcer, Inspiration, Insulating/Clumsifying Diaper, Unaware, Forest Fairy, Aroma Dress, Layer Magnet, Worrywart, Teehee Tiara (Alt), Absentminded, Luxray/Luxio/Shinx Suit,
Trap Magnet, Illiterate, Change Suppress, Princess Dress, and Megabottle.

4.0, Dice:
Intensity rolls instead provide a flat effect that can be increased by the Intensity bonus. Point Idles are rolled based upon RTiers in a category, rather than a Level stat, and have a max Tier of 6.
Increased the HP divisor for Prone rolls and Finishers to adjust for Caretaker rebalance. All rolls have been simplified where applicable (ex. bomb rolls).

4.0, Regress Bar:
Idle Roll Tiers and Point Idles now draw from RTiers, rather than being unique stats. RTier thresholds have been changed to streamline the experience.
Resonance Traits were reduced to 15, but are no longer category-bound. The guaranteed Traits of Normalization/Comfortable/Devolution have been replaced with customizable Staggered Traits.
Although this does in fact reduce player Trait count by 3, those 3 Traits were always the three gauranteed Traits. This should make Resonances more flowing!
Resonance columns now determine outlined, yellow, and lighter tint cell progression locks rather than Trait categories.

Added Shinxcess so Pendant can stop teasing about its lack of inclusion (and now, its inclusion instead). Added Padded Pride Luxray/Luxio/Shinx Resonances.
Changed pre-made Resonances for modernization and reorganized them. Removed Sissy Resonance (too similar to Princess).

4.0, Rules:
Removed turn loss and chaining clauses to orders. Foamified and Rattle'd were added to RTier progression. Idle Roll penalties on statuses/Traits have been rephrased to Idle Penalties.
The passive +2 AR was moved to weapon stats for clarity. ReAct has been reworked. Rather than "roll until success," ReAct now rolls like D&D 5e's death saves. See the Rulebook for more information.

4.0, Calculator:
Reorganized menus. Added RNG calculations for Hypnosis Checks, items, and scrolls. Added some quality of life touchups to printouts, for less questions and cleaner information.
Caretakers, Rooms, Events, diapers, Misfires, Trap Artist rooms, and more will now list their names outright, instead of giving its RNG value for you to manually find (this one took a lot of time, yikes).
Added a debug mode for the beta testers. Enter -1 on main menu to try it yourself! Repeat prompt now specifies what you're repeating for clarity.

Sheets became 'inspired.' Expanded all acronyms wherever possible in descriptions. Character Sheet's DM notes were overhauled drastically thanks to Seindrache (search for stuff!).
Some automated notifications (such as MUL/WUL turning yellow when it's time to gain a level) will appear in the Character Sheet. (Began) adding "Added in Version..." tags to items so old players can catch up.

Traits, Caretakers, C. Perks, and Rooms now have color-coded categories for easier parsing. Traits are colored by category, and Caretakers/Rooms are colored by Tier.
A lot of alphabetical organization was done! Added FAQs to the bottom of References, which will be filled out as time goes on.

Added clarifications about Party Wipes and Caretakers giving changes: a Party Wipe on all 0-health players fully restores HP, and Caretakers may freely give changes unless certain criteria prevent such.
Renamed some tabs and compiled Variances and Setups together into one tab. Split Gear into Weapons/Perks and Items/Magic.

Added Player Perks to the game. Have fun having a bit more personality in your play! The calculator will support Curious in the next version.

Added weapon-skill-specific Perks: Box-In Slashes, Javeliner, Shutdown, Vengeful, and White Nail. Renamed Wall Flower to Naive and changed flavor text. Renamed Skillful to Skilled (clashed with C. Perk).
Natural Leader no longer grants +2 Attack Damage.

New weapon!
Fixed naming inconsistency with Axe's Weapon Skill. Updated the Rulebook to discuss Weapon Skill specific Perks and gameplay variances in Weapons. Cleaned some paragraphs in the first two pages in Rulebook.

Added BubbleGun, a rapid-fire revolver with much customization through Player Perks and brought to you by Anonymous.
Perks: added Outlaw, Desperado, Blademaster, Heavy Rounds, and Refreshing Rounds. Blademaster and Heavy Rounds are supported by the Character Sheet, don't worry about changing stats yourself.
