Today in our group we went over the goal checklist and began discussing what we want our pre/post assessment to look like so it truly measures main idea and is consistent within the grade level.

When looking at the Rubric, under Student Relevance and Rigor, our goal targets specific Common Core Reading Standard (s) -we were wondering if this needs to apply to all of us as our target might be specific to a reading or reading related IEP goal, that is not necessarily a reading standard but important for the student to obtain.
Setting individual goals
We read discussed the Goal Setting Checklist and Goal Setting Rubric.

We than moved onto talking about our Q Comp goals for the year. Each member received a Goals checklist, a goal rubric and a goal sheet.

We worked on writing a rigorous goal that went back to using vocabulary as our focus. We all have decided that the students STILL need a ton of assistance in correct terminology, not only will this help them in their reading comprehension but on the math MCA as well. Trying to work towards that reading goal without completely dropping the ball on the math too.
