Tournament Structure:

Round Robin with top 2 teams to play in final to decide winners and placement matches where appropriate.
Matches – 15min matches (one way) with a 5 min turnaround.
A minimum of one referee is required on court - this can be a teacher/leader or qualified handball referee. Where possible 2 referees should be used.
Table officials will be responsible for scorekeeping and timekeeping.

Games requiring a result (placement and finals):
Extra time 5min
Best of 5 penalties followed by sudden death

Win – 3 points, Draw – 2 points, Loss – 1 point

In the event of a tie, winners will be decided on:
Head to head result
Goal Difference
Goals Scored

This is to prevent teams from suffering heavy defeats by teams trying to progress via goal difference

differences to those applied in your local competiton

First Aid & Staffing

Teams are responsible for their own first aid and should be appropriately equipped.

If schools have multiple teams competing, it is recommended that a minimum of one member of staff attends the event per team.
Fixture scheduling is done randomly and fixture clashes cannot always be avoided.


Equipment

Match balls will be provided for games. However, will not be provided for warm-ups or other activities.

The winners from each category will progress to the National Final at the Derby Arena on the weekend
of 15th (U15s) and 16th (U13s) June 2019
