The dinner meeting will feature a presentation by Jeffrey C. Evans, Ph.D., P.E., D.GE, F.ASCE of Bucknell University. Dr. Evans will be presenting the Gardner Lecture-"Slurry Walls and In Situ Mixing for Construction of Vertical Barriers".

This talk will present current developments in our understanding and implementation of the various means and methods of constructing a subsurface vertical barrier of low permeability.

Dr. Evans is Professor Emeritus of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Bucknell University, Lewisburg, PA. He is currently a Principal Geotechnical Engineer at Parsons.

Join us for this exciting presentation about the design and construction of the University of British Columbia (UBC) Tallwood House at Brock Commons. At the time of its completion, this was the tallest wood structure in the world. Its highly collaborative design approach and streamlined construction led to completion of the wood structure in less than 70 days after arrival of the prefabricated components.
