Fuel packet initially targeted to enter cylinder just following overlap period by retarding the end of injection lower slope) while the beginning remains static
2
If EVC @ 0.050” to piston intake BDC “window” is full, then we have no choice but to advance beginning of injection (upper slope) while the end remains static
3
All calculations take into calculation fuel transport delay, however we cannot do anything about the fuel puddle remaining in the port

53
54
1) System Parameters – Engine Parameters – make sure “enable injector end able table” is unchecked and Injector End Angle is 0
55
2) Add advanced tables ICF if you do not have it
56
3) Under ADVANCED select 2d Tables, Under SETUP check the “Enable Table” to turn the table on and call it “IEA offset”
57
4) Under SETUP make the X axis “RPM”
58
5) Under SETUP make the Y axis “Inj PW”
59
6) Under SETUP make the Table Type : “Injector End Angle Offset”
60
61
7) Manipulate this sheet however you see fit, but it should be fairly close to your use just from putting in your cam specs
62
8) The “upper slope offset” moves around the numbers closest to zero. Try numbers between 0 and -90. This affects WOT.
63
9) The “lower slope offset” moves around the IEA numbers at idle. Try 60 if you get a smell at idle. Smaller cams might like 30-90, huge cams 0-60.
64
10) If you zero out “distance from injector to intake valve seat” you remove all fuel transport delay calculations, large numbers will advanced the table a lot
65
11) Injector dead time should be at whatever voltage the engine normally runs at, at 1 ms it will advance the lower slope 3 degrees at 500 rpm and 30 at 5000 rpm compared to not accounting for it
66
67
12) Copy the Y axis (select D30 to D45 with your mouse, right click, copy) and X axis (F47 to U47) into the advanced table.
68
13) Paste into either the advanced table top cell for Y axis, or the advanced table left most cell for X axis
69
14) Copy the entirety of the table (select F30 to U45 with your mouse, right click, copy) into the top left cell (right click, paste) of the advanced table
