11/103:30-6pWelcome Home John James :The Case of the Absentee Congressman ProtestIke’s Restaurant, 38550 Van Dyke Ave, Sterling Heights
After months of silence and vanishing acts, Representative John James has finally decided to show his face in Macomb County — and the people are ready to give him a warm welcome back!

Join Michigan Families for Fair Care and our community allies on Monday, November 10th outside Ike’s Restaurant in Sterling Heights as we roll out the red carpet (and our protest signs) for a satirical yet serious “Welcome Back, John James” action.

While our absentee representative has been M.I.A., families across MI-10 have been feeling the effects of a government shutdown and threats to vital programs like SNAP, Medicaid, Medicare, and the Affordable Care Act (ACA). It’s time to remind him what real public service looks like — service to the people, not corporate interests.

Bring your signs, energy, and solidarity as we demand that Rep. James and his Republican colleagues reopen the government and fund the programs that keep our communities strong. Together, we’ll show that when our leaders go missing, the people show up — louder, prouder, and stronger than ever.

Join our Cat Ladies for America Chapter, so you can join the Resistance, and bring your cat! (at least metaphorically)

Help us execute plans with our smart friends & bold partner organizations doing innovative things to pull us back from rising authoritarianism, and laugh A LOT along the way.

We are a community - on Discord, on Zoom and, when possible, in real life. CLFA HQ and the chapter captains will be here for you, swapping ideas, problem solving, joining together for actions on social media & in our communities, sharing skills and stories.

Fenton
Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday DROP IN between 1PM and 4PM to rally at the US Post Office in Downtown Fenton and invite like-minded democracy loving people to Join Us! in our mission to defend our Constitution and save our republic from an authoritarian takeover.

We have a strict policy of non-engagement, nonconfrontation, de-escalation and nonviolence with agitators and detractors. We aren't there for them. We are looking for the 68% of eligible voters who either didn't vote for him or just didn't vote.

WE ARE IN THE MAJORITY! We just need to act like it. TOGETHER, WE ARE INDIVISIBLE. Let's find those people together.

The Signs we hold and post are factual, passionate, policy and people driven to make people think, laugh, and ultimately join the cause of saving the nation and making this nation live up to the Preamble so "We the People means EVERYBODY."

WE are there to be bright and visible to all those who don't like the direction our country is being taken and want to find a way to use their time and energy to fight back.

Representative Bill Huizenga has turned his back on West Michigan. Instead of standing up for us, he’s marching in lockstep with Trump and the extreme MAGA agenda—no matter how much it harms the very people he was elected to represent.

We’re not staying silent. Every Friday from 12–1 PM, we gather to make it clear: we see through the spin, we feel the impact—and we’ve had enough.

📢 Join us to raise your voice, bring the heat, and show Huizenga it’s time to pack it up and RETIRE. Let’s keep the pressure on—and keep the momentum growing!
