Governors are caretakers of our community. The equivalent in traditional companies are the Board of Directors

Privileges
As a caretaker, governors are granted the following priviledges.

- editing rights to both our ledger and white paper
- administrative rights to our community channels

How are governors elected
The awarding of the governors role is system determined but with high level parameters that still allow for DAO control

- DAO can vote on the total number of governors to be in position
- DAO can vote on the length of track record to take into consideration when shortlisting governors

DAO voting weightage for high level parameters are determined based on quadratic voting

Top contributors within track record period are automatically elected into these positions.

When rotation happens
There are four rotations per year in accordance with the change of seasons. They are on the day of the Vernal and Autumnal Equinoxes, Summer and Winter Solistices
