Parke County Food Security AllianceParke CountyThe Parke County Food Security Alliance will use results from the Leah’s Pantry Trauma-Informed Nutrition Security Assessment with two local food pantries to implement a client-centered food pantry experience.

Let Us LearnFloyd CountyLet Us Learn Inc. will continue to implement an in-school and after-school nutrition education programming, three community gardens at elementary schools, virtual programming for families with home garden kits and cooking demonstrations, and nutrition education classes in limited-resource community housing.

Patachou FoundationMarion CountyThe Patachou Foundation will use the funds to create an outdoor classroom for students from the surrounding limited-resourced neighborhood to come and learn about growing food, preparing healthy food choices, and pursuing careers in the food system.

City of ElkhartElkhart CountyThe City of Elkhart will provide wayfinding signage for the 4-mile, River Greenway multi-use path and a bike-usage and nutrition educational lesson for elementary-aged children in a low-income, SNAP-eligible neighborhood.

Boys and Girls Club of Rush CountyRush CountyThe Boys and Girls Club of Rush County will use funds to create a “Club Kitchen'' where members will prepare and serve healthy recipes to their peers. Members will work with the Nutrition Education Program Advisor through the Purdue Extension Nutrition Education Program to learn and implement components of the SNAP-Ed approved curriculum, Teen Cuisine.

Growing Places IndyMarion CountyGrowing Places Indy is a non-profit on the Near Eastside of Indianapolis with a mission to cultivate wellness through urban agriculture and build a more just and equitable food system. Through this funding opportunity, Growing Places Indy looks to support its mobile farmers market initiative, The Veggie Bus, to increase food access to the neighbors of the Near Eastside.

Tindley Accelerated SchoolsMarion CountyTindley Accelerated Schools will build an extension to their Innovation Lab using an agriscience greenhouse and garden, teaching their scholars about growing their own food and sustainable food practices.

Eskenazi HealthMarion CountyEskenazi Health currently runs the Fresh to You Market on the grounds of the hospital, serving patients through Produce Rx programs and providing them and visitors with access to produce, proteins, and pantry staples at reduced cost and for purchase with SNAP/EBT and WIC benefits, if applicable. The funds for this project will be used to aid in the lunching of the Fresh to You Market on Wheels, a mobile market model of the existing market/pantry hybrid,

The United Methodist ChurchMarion CountyThe United Methodist Church will undertake the needed pre-development work to create a neighborhood market and indoor hydro- or aqua-ponic farm to address food access concerns in the neighborhood and improve local food infrastructure.

Soul Food ProjectMarion CountySoul Food Project currently operates a group of urban growing sites, including sites for u-pick gardens, a pantry garden, and a market garden. Soul Food Project looks to expand their Community Supportive Agriculture (CSA) program to be more accessible to individuals of lower incomes, expand their leadership training program for high school students, employ a Director of Farm Operations and Operation and Farm Assistant, purchase supplies for the increase growing needs, and transport harvested produce between neighborhoods.

Kheprw InstituteMarion CountyThe Kheprw Insititute currently implements the Growin’ Good in the Hood (GGIH) program out of their garden space on the Northwest side of Indianapolis (an area where 42% of residents cannot meet their needs without government assistance) aiding families in learning about and growing their own produce. The cohort of families in the GGIH program will engage in urban agriculture skills through a combination of online classwork and field work in the garden plots, led by an intergenerational team of 4 growers.

Bailly STEM AcademyLake CountyGary Community School Corporation will target five schools in Gary, IN including Bethune Early Childhood Development Center, Beveridge Elementary, Banneker at Marquette Elementary, Bailly STEM Academy, and West Side High School with their new school garden education program and healthy eating club for students.

Heartland CommunitiesAllen CountyHeartland Communities, Inc., in collaboration with a private agricultural cooperative and Saint Joseph Community Health Foundation, will work to expand the availability of fresh produce in Allen County by using funds to design a mobile market trailer and employ an operator who will be responsible for providing healthy food demonstrations

Westminster Neighborhood ServicesMarion CountyWestminster Neighborhood Services will expand their current services by adding a Volunteer Coordinator who will be responsible for the management and training of pantry volunteers, adding a Communications Coordinator who will be responsible for promoting information and opportunities to the community, purchasing a client communication software to provide resources to community members served, and supplies to support pop-up pantries.

Unity GardensSt. Joseph CountyThe Unity Gardens currently implements a free food model that connects the community to fresh produce through forty open, free pick gardens, wellness programs, and classes reaching thousands of families and children to reduce obesity, fight food insecurity, and combat social isolation.

Northwest Indiana Food CouncilLake CountyThe Northwest Indiana Food Council will use funding to build on the success of a pilot in Lake County, Indiana that supports robust programming targeted at the SNAP eligible population by hiring a Local Food Access Coordinator.
