The test is designed for Australian English speaking parents and teachers to improve their understanding of speech sound errors. The tool is designed to give parents and teachers a 'head start' while their children are on the wait-list to see a Speechie. Very complex speech difficulties are not discussed here and if your child's speech difficulties are too complex to be explained by this assessment, I strongly suggest you make an appointment to see a Speech Pathologist. Remember this is a speech sounds assessment and NOT a language assessment. If your child has other language difficulties, they will not be evident through this test. | |||
