Hello internet!
7
8
iFixit is building a hospital equipment repair resource for biomedical techs and helpers the world 'round, we're happy you're here to pitch in!
9
10
Here's what needs to be done:
11
12
* Find out which devices are being used in your area. (Ventilators, and anesthesia machines that can pull double-duty as ventilators, are highest priority.)
13
* Check the Ventilators worksheet and iFixit.com/Device/Ventilator to see whether a service manual has been found yet for that device(s).
14
* Find the missing service manuals for all devices. (Check the Sources to Download tab for possible leads.)
15
* Upload service manuals to this drive folder.
Organize files first by make, then by model. (Example: Maquet/Maquet Servo-i Ventilator service manual.pdf")
16
* Find out what usually breaks on each device when in heavy use.
17
* Use screen captures and transcribe instructions from existing service manual PDFs to create guides on iFixit for critical maintenance and repair procedures.
18
* Translate those guides/procedures into different languages.
19
20
How to use this spreadsheet:
21
22
* The Ventilators tab is a master list of all the ventilators that need repair documentation and their status.
23
* Feel free to add more rows to a device if there are additional procedures for which you want to add repair guides.
24
* Note: The first cell under Critical Repairs for each device is intentionally left blank.
25
* Check the ‘Sources to Download’ page of the spreadsheet for a list of every source of additional service manuals that we know of. We need volunteers to check each of these sources for additional manuals we haven’t found or included yet, grab them, add them to the project.
