3 | This spreadsheet calculates sanding grit progression based on initial grit, available paper and desired increase in grit. |
4 | It will start at the grit you tell it to, and then go to the next higher grit that has an increase that is less or equal to your desired increase. For example, if your initial grit is 60, and your desired increase is 50%, then it will go to the highest grit that is less or equal to 90. |
5 | If there is no such grit (for example, if you only have 60 and 120, but ask for a 50% increase), it will skip to the next higher grit, and mark that in orange. |

9 | First, make a copy of the sheet (File > Make a copy), and then edit at will. The cells in green are intended to be edited. If you edit any of the other cells, things might break. |
