Cards for Agility is a teambuilding exercise in which players complete fill-in-the-blank statements using words or phrases borrowed from general Agile vernacular

Goal of the game is to bring your Agile team closer together while building the team’s knowledge and vocabulary around the Agile Methodology and possibly have a few laughs along the way

The Team’s Scrum Master will be the game facilitator

Recommended team size = 5-10 Players

Game Play

Prior to starting game

Distribute the "Cards For agility -Players" game board to each player

Scrum Master will open a copy of “Cards-for-agility-Scenarios” game board

Scrum Master will enter player names into Cards-for-agility-Scenarios game board

Individual Team members will open the "Cards For agility -Players" game board on local machine

All team members & Scrum Master will log into the meeting-sharing tool of choice (Skype, WebEx, MS Teams, Go To Meeting, etc.) and will call into the meeting.

Scrum Master will share screen and present the “Cards-for-agility-Scenarios” game board, and chat window

Open a conference bridge and have all team members join the call

Each player draws 10 white response cards by clicking on the "Get All Cards" button on the "Cards For agility -Players" game board

Scrum Master will select a scenario card using the “Select Scenario Card” button on the “Cards-for-agility-Scenarios” game board

The Scrum Master reads the question or phrase on the scenario card out loud

Team members select an answer from the "Response Card" on their screen to fill in the blank to the question.  This is done by pressing the "Play this card" button.

This will post the answer to the main page

Scrum Master could ask team why a response was given to help clarify the best answer

The Scrum Master selects their favorite answer, which could be (True, Funny, Funny but True, Ironic and Sad (like a mullet), Funny and Sad, etc...)

Game will consist of 10 rounds of play unless the team is having fun in which case game play will extend until the timebox for the meeting is reached

My Cards Suck – at any time, a player can trade in all of their response cards for a new set of responses. This costs the player an agility point.

I don't understand – at any point in time, players can discard white cards that they don't understand. But, there is a price. That player must confess why he/she doesn't understand to the group. This will gain the player 2 Agility points!

Rotate facilitator role by rotating who reads the Scenario card and selects the winning answer
