4
What this isTeam Empathy's search and AI-search research for an example ecommerce brand: triangulated keyword demand (NZ), an AI prompt library across the full range, a cluster strategy, and an AEO maturity scorecard. Each tab is self-contained; sources and method are on the last tab.
5
Market focusScored for New Zealand only: 99% of revenue and clicks are NZ, so the model carries no other market.
6
Category focusMattresses (70% of sales, the growth priority), bed frames (the beachhead), bed bases, headboards and toppers (the new lanes). Bedroom-storage furniture terms were measured and appear below, but sit outside the current focus (~2% of sales).
7
Keyword volumesTriangulated across Google Keyword Planner, SEMrush and Ahrefs: we take the median of the three. Single tools undercount NZ badly, so no one source is trusted on its own. Where a source did not report, its column shows a dash.
8
Keyword tiersTier 1, priority targets: all three sources agree within 2.5x, high confidence in the working volume. Tier 2, supporting targets: sources genuinely disagree or only two reported, treat the working volume as approximate. Strategic (AI): little or no measurable search volume but high AI-answer value, the buying-decision and how-to questions where AI Overviews fire and a clear answer wins the citation.
9
Prompt libraryA full library of 130 questions buyers ask AI assistants across the entire range (mattress choice, mattress-in-a-box education, firmness, sizes, frames, bases, headboards, toppers, care and trial, student and first flat). Every prompt carries a directional volume and a 1-5 priority; the first 30 are the strategic core the report leads with.
10
Prompt volumesDirectional estimates derived from the triangulated head-term volumes with a conservative AI fan-out uplift. AI assistants collapse many phrasings into one question, so treat every figure as a floor, not a point estimate.
11
Cluster priorityWeighs demand x whether AI answers are live x whether the brand can uniquely own the answer.
12
AEO scoreTeam Empathy's AEO Maturity Model: four pillars scored out of 25 each (Technical, Content, Authority, Measurement). Certified = 80/100, Professional on all four pillars.
