Booking Rules

1. A teacher is not to book a computer lab more that 12 blocks total in 1 calendar month. Priority will be given to classes that need to work with the Teacher-Librarian on Information Skills and Research.

2. A teacher is encouraged to book a half block to make best use of the student attention span, unless actively engaged in Research or Information Skills.

3. A teacher is not to book a computer lab for more than 3 consecutive blocks, unless collaborating with the Teacher-Librarian.

(ie. Not more than 3 consecutive 'A' blocks)

4. A teacher can go over their limit if the lab is still available within 2 days or less of booking.

5. *It is recommend to check the labs in the following order to see about availability:

a. Either Portable laptop lab or Library. Book your preference. Please book portable laptop carts labs only if trained in careful use techniques. See Reg, Tamara, or Colin (IT) for details

b. Check to see if the 5 IPads are available from the Library.

c. Check to see if any other computer lab is available. Ex. C208, some English classes have a few computers, B114 L@H sometimes has extra spots...

6. If a booking is noted in (parentheses) then it is only for the Teacher-Librarian and indicates the TL will be absent from the Library and Learning Commons. 7. ANYTHING WRITTEN IN CAPITALS MEANS THAT THE LIBRARY AND LEARNING COMMONS IS CLOSED TO ALL STUDENTS DURING THAT BLOCK.
