I think the main difference between dreamers from either kingdom mainly falls on whether they are an optimist, or a pessimist. I am more of an optimist, so I would be a Prospit dreamer, but someone who is more pessimistic would be more likely to be a Derse dreamer.

Some would say create, but I believe that is only partially correct. I can't really think of a correct way to describe it. Mages seem to almost feed whatever aspect is already present. They might create it, but they might just fuel what's already existing. It's almost like they... Instigate their aspect.

My turtle means I create or instigate my inner self, possibly creating more than one. I deal with multiple emotions at one time because I easily create them. People with my title most likely have more than one inner self- all of the emotions they create a clash and cause multiple views on a topic.

A Knight provides the session what they lack and also forms their aspect into a weapon. They normally hide behind a mask of some sort. Knights are also the shield for their team, and will attack for them. Therefore, their power is strongest when protecting a team member or loved one.

I'm honestly not too sure, however, they are similar to a maid because they can help out using their aspect(basically using it to serve their team to help win). The pages are extremely strong players and can become very powerful but it takes a while to become strong or find out how useful they can be.

the Knight is the Active Exploit class, which basically means they can take their aspect or things relating to it and bend it to fit their needs, often as a weapon or a shield. Though frequently seen as a "protector" class, they really can fall in any alignment! A Knight can be evil or good or neutral depending on their personality and motivations, not on their class. Though protection certainly can fall under their jurisdiction, it's just as easy to damage as it is to protect.

The Aspect of Heart represents strong emotion, romantic attraction, and such things frequently associated with the heart itself, including identity. A Heart player will often be the kind that stands out, that you can point out at any time, wether for good or otherwise. They tend to be intense individuals, and can be overbearing.

Mages are an active class, counterpart to the passive Seer. I assume that mages generally know things/accumulate knowledge and then actively guide other members in a correct direction. Alternatively, I think Mages play some sort of part in creation but I'm a little murky on that.

Alright sit tight motherfuckers because this is a future English teacher with a wild obsession over Homestuck and especially classpect getting ready to lay down the mad educationals about this shit.

So Pages. The passive exploitation class - active counterpart is the Knight, inverse class is the Thief. Pages can be interpreted as "one who gives their aspect as a sword and shield to others" - they do not utilize their aspect to overcome problems, but rather augment others with it so that they may overcome problems themselves. A Page's power lies simply in presence: Simply by being around and doing what comes naturally to them, they complement and improve their teammates and partners.

However, their ultimate destiny, so to speak, lies within their fabled "pagely potential", which is to say the potential that exists within them which can only be accessed when they have reached the end of their pagely journey, or have achieved self-actualization. This moment comes only when the Page realizes a simple fact of their immense innate power: The fact that it was there all along. That is the ultimate purpose of the Page: To develop to the point where they realize that they were always already perfect the way they were. However, because of the nature of the class, Pages rarely ever manage to reach this point. Meaningful interaction with a Knight, however, can assist the Page immensely. In this regard, Pages and Knights share a unique relationship with one another not seen among other active-passive pairings: They are the only active-passive pair which can have uniquely quantifiable influence on each other's development.

In short, to be a Page is to give one's aspect to others as a sword and shield, and to be faced with the challenge of learning to not only accept but embrace and love oneself for who oneself is.

Breath - the inversion of Blood, the ghost of Space. Breath is the aspect of freedom and direction metaphysically, and wind and air physically. Breath players have a tendency to be silly, geeky, and "breezy" - or, in more normal terms, laidback and go-with-the-flow. Breath is a critical aspect in any session - or, in less Homestuck terms, any group or social circle - because it is the aspect which provides drive and, to an extent, ambition and motivation. It is very important to note that the Hebrew term for breath, ruach, is, like much of the Hebrew language, extremely loose and means many things. As a short list, the term "ruach" can contextually mean breath, wind, spirit, life, God, and soul. This is because the Hebrew people see all these things as being connected - the wind is the breath of God who breathed life and spirit into man which became man's soul, etc. As such, Breath can be seen as the aspect which gives "life" to a group - where Life gives strength and dedication, Breath gives that strength and dedication direction and purpose. With a lack of Breath or weak Breath, a group is uncommitted, unambitious, stagnant. With strong Breath or a good deal of Breath, a group becomes committed, confident, and devoted to making progress towards their goal.

It took me a damn long time to figure out if I was a Page of Breath. It was the result I had gotten on the rlabs tumblr quiz, which is the standard quiz used by my friends and I now. I toyed with various titles, never wanting to accept the dis-pleasingly plain and weak Page of Breath as who I was - which is exactly what a Page would do. I considered being a Prince of Blood, or a Seer of Heart, or a Mage of Mind, but in the end, these titles, and all the others, fell apart under scrutiny. It was in a moment akin to when Buddhists disciples open themselves to the nature of the mind - a moment which can best be described as "eureka" or "aha" - that I realized that I was, with no doubt, the Page of Breath. I have developed greatly as a person since then, not only giving direction and freedom to others through advice and example, but also garnering some of that for myself, accepting who I am and who I am not, and drawing strength from that. There is no doubt in my mind that I am a Page of Breath - one who gives freedom and direction to others, but must learn to find freedom and direction for themselves.

So goes the first stanza of the poem presented in the Prospit & Derse album on the Homestuck bandcamp, and so were the words that inspired my analytic approach to the question of dreamer status. I consider the canon Prospit dreamers - John, Jade, Karkat, Nepeta, Terezi, Jane, Jake - and how they all can be unanimously described as the more "heroic" individuals of their session. I then strike the word "heroic" from my mind and replace it with "good natured". They are golden-hearted, always caring for others, always ready to help, and ultimately, they are the ones who we all bet on.

Then there are the Derse dreamers - Dave, Dirk, Rose, Roxy - and how they all carry a stain upon themselves. They are not evil or bad - indeed, Roxy is likely among the brightest souls in all of Homestuck. But they all have a shadow cast upon them, a "shadow of fate", if you will. Their lives are darkened by cruelties beyond their power, and they are destined to fight this darkness until it is defeated, much the same way that, upon Derse, they are surrounded by the very forces they are fighting to destroy in their session (The Dersite army). Rose and Roxy are obvious examples - One who went grimdark, and a Void player whose very nature revolves around the shadows of the void Derse skims. They who dream of Derse are those who have shadows cast upon them by the strings of fate, and must either burn those shadows away, or be consumed by them.

As such, I know from my own experiences that I do not dream of any golden kingdom orbiting Skaia filled with friendly white carapacians. Much as I have longed to see the golden spires of Prospit, I know that my heart and my life are bound to shadows and darkness. It is my challenge not to face a war which I will always lose with light in my heart, as Prospitians would, but rather to face a darkness which may yet be defeated.

I sense that my already extensive responses to prior prompts covers this quite well, but a short recap will help, I feel:

As a Page of Breath, I give advice and provide an example of a liberated, by-the-seat-of-my-pants, cares-not-for-being-held-down lifestyle, thus giving others freedom and direction. As a Derse dreamer, I am under a shadow of fate, forced to deal with challenges and battles which I may either emerge victorious in or be consumed by.

i think classes have a lot to do with how you interact with your aspect. thieves don't believe in limits, don't believe in "having enough" of anything, and occasionally it's not enough for them to have it, they also want other people to NOT have what they do. there's a lot of greed involved, even if it's not always intended to be bad. thieves look at something functional that somebody else owns and go "oh but man how cool would that look in my collection".
and really the most interesting part is that very often thieves are right, because it would look cool in their collection. because they do know what they're doing with the things they steal. because they look after their own shit more than anybody else does after theirs.

blood is connections, obligations, duty, the shit that binds us together and also the shit that keeps others firmly away. it's both the knowledge that you are part of something huge and the knowledge that you will be expected to protect that something huge with everything you have.

it's signing contract, it's putting shackles and wedding rings on your fingers, it's hugging a friend after a long day and punching an asshole in the face if they dare to threaten somebody who's yours. it's valuing people over things, but treating those people as possession in the best ways, all "you are mine and i am yours and nobody touches you but me."

it means i'm not a nice person, is what it means. thief of blood is looking at other people's relationships, platonic or romantic, and going "i could do that better". it's collecting interesting people and shackling yourself to them heart and soul and going "tough luck you are mine now". it's taking every little favor and obligation that anybody owes you and hoarding them like tiny bits of gold.

i think it might also be taking on duties that other people fear should've been theirs. it's wanting to be the one with the world on their shoulders, it's saying "don't worry i can carry this for you", it's always being the one who steps up and accepts the responsibility no matter who around it was actually intended for.

i don't know if it means that much, really. i think prospit is looking at what you want to happen and working towards it, and derse is looking at what you definitely don't want to happen and saying "yeah fuck that i'm not about this let's go make some fucking changes."

like, i guess the metaphor would be to run away from the stick instead of running towards the carrot?

well, i'm an asshole, i like meeting people and making them like me and then keeping them like little trophies, all "oh i'm friends with them and friends with them and friends with them". i'm a great friend, don't get me wrong! but i can be a right bitch about who i am friends with. very picky, and then very persistent. like, if i think you're ordinary, i'm kinda over the idea of hanging out with you. but if you're interesting? fuck yeah. yes please. come hang out on my shelf.
i also tend to feel responsible for every bit of bullshit to the extent where i get annoyed if somebody else dares suggest something was their fault. it's a flaw.

I feel like my class gets things done in the sense that they are often a foot solider for a greater cause or purpose, perhaps progressing and learning they play a bigger role than what they originally thought. Unlike a knight they may not be destined to battle a force directly but they may play a role in understanding a force or finding a way to combat it.

I am very confused as to what mages do since they have never been seen in action! but i do think that if they are the counterpart to seer, then we have to think about what seers do! because having a mage be a knowing class seems too dull to me. I think that seers do more than see, they FIND, seers go out and find, short and sweet. But what about mages?? I think that to make mages fit in, they would SUMMON aspect or SUMMON THROUGH aspect. So rose, a seer of light, managed to find light in something as dark as the horrorterrors and the other gods she read about. But sollux, a mage of doom, managed to summon doom to himself, and everyones lusus's. He managed to summon the kings DOOMING meteors to hurt him. So in short, mages summon aspect or summon through aspect.

I think that derse dreamers are mostly people who will think realistically but lean more towards pessimism until the end, whether they pull through or not. While prospitians look on the brightside, but realistic thinking is not involved enough, they can go for a while thinking things are perfectly fine even if they arent, they assume they will pull through even when its evident they wont.

Yes! I feel it fits me very well. I think the title means that I am meant to decrease the chances of doom befalling my team, because I would be able to manipulate it. However, the doom aspect is linked with sacrifice and keeping doom from my team may doom me, in a sense.

I have heard that being a Derse dreamer means that a player means the dreamer is a warrior, but must learn to be a hero. Truthfully, I feel that I am an asymmetrical dreamer, which means that I have traits of both the Derse and Prospit dreamers. Between the two I feel that the Derse kingdom fits me better.

As for my title, I'm a passive person who works as the underlying glue, often helping others with there problems with others. As for my dreamer position, this may reflect more of my lonely side I have or many sides of my personality I choose not to show others.

Well, we get a good look at sylphs in canon. It seems they are a healer class that is usually supportive/passive, but can 'snap' into an assertive/active mode. Kanaya 'snaps' and lays low Vriska, Gamzee, and Eridan all at once. Aranea gets too big for her breeches and tries to turn a doomed timeline into the alpha with her healing powers. The attempt at assuming a more active role likely backfired on Aranea due to its selfish nature, while Kanaya was kicking ass to protect what was left of her friends/team, so she didn't suffer negative consequences.

TL;DR: Slyph = Meant to be a supportive/passive healer. Like a witch but more magical.

Okay, this is hard to explain. I'm not evil. I'm not an asshole. I don't have anger issues. I don't suffer from a mental disorder. I am not a devout follower of a faith. These are often what Rage is associated with, and I disagree. I am, in fact, usually quite happy and enjoy hugs.

What I am: a person of deep CONVICTION and EMOTIONAL INTENSITY, which are what I believe Rage is meant to represent. I experience emotions very fully, and I do not try to suppress them. When it comes to my convictions, I don't budge.

(My convictions, in case you're curious, are a deep valuation of Free Will and Truth, with a deep disdain for Greed.)

Quite well, I think. Secondarily, I would go with Space, considering my creative streak. Sometimes I also consider Heart as a possible aspect, but I'm not that fascinated by romance or relationships in general. However, my sense of self (aka Soul/Heart) is pretty intense at times.

Slyph of Rage is weird, but basically, I think my job would be to keep everyone calm by 'healing' their emotions and helping them to channel intense feelings into productive action. In real life, I am just a good listener. My friends always know they can talk to me. I really and truly listen when people talk, and that seems to be enough for them to feel better, just knowing I'm soaking up their words. I've been hearing people's sad stories since I was in middle school, when the hormones hit and people needed shoulders to cry on. I am the shoulder. It is me. :)

I remember that I defined Page as "she who protects herself." As I recall, Page is the passive protector class? I use my aspect to passively avoid conflict and protect myself, and Page is also the class with the greatest potential for power, so like if I ever get over myself, I could be really powerful. I could also inspire my aspect in others, and they could use it to their defense. Sweet Andraste's tits, I am such a nerd when it comes to classpects.

Breath is the aspect that represents freedom and individuality, if I recall correctly. It's not only linked to personal and mental and emotional freedom, but also to having a direction and a purpose. The recent upd8s also make me think that Breath may be related to "clearing" up things, but that could also just be John, so. Also I'm probably an airbender, so there is that.

I think my title would probably be related to my finding my own power or strength, and taking control of the freedom to do what I need/want to. I mean, I'm a Page, so it's obvious that my classpect is tied to some great struggle or journey before I unlock whatever mysterious powers I have. My title, I believe, means that I will struggle to find purpose and/or freedom, and then I will kick everyone's ass. I'll kick the Black King's ass. I'll kick his dog's ass. I'll kick my own ass.

I believe that Prospit dreamers are the...passive??? ones???? If so, that makes holy hellsa sense for me. I tend to be passive, but not inactive? I suppose I see myself as courageous and heroic, but all of my talents had to be learned over lots and lots of time. Things did not come naturally to me. I had to really learn and come into my own over time but I've always had courage and been somewhat of a natural leader.

If you were to mix karkat and sollux together, the end result would be pretty scary. You were end up with a knight of doom, a player who uses death like it's a super power and puts themselves before others, even if it's means sacrificing your life. I definitely feel like my title matches me.

Being a knight of doom, I can easily say I'm really selfless. I would die for my loved ones in real life to save them. My pessimism does chase people away and I have trouble conveying my feelings to those I do love. As for my dreamer, I believe everyone has a destiny that you can't escape.
