We should all be having hard and honest conversations about equity, inclusion, and advocacy for all students.

The wealth gap and the systematic accural of wealth by whites is the greatest indicator of systemic racism.
They have a right to a teacher who believes they can achieve.

They are fairly conservative.
I found them after I got my shepherd. They believe animals are intelligent their politics are way different than mine. They cause me to think about politics, philosophy, history and many other things.

Forced schooling such as that within public and private education are ethically and morally wrong. Homeschooling or unschooling options are the answer to happy, healthy learners.
David's stance on Education drives me crazy. It seems ONLY negative towards teachers and schools, of which many I personally know are doing a great job. But his insights into children's empowerment, voice, and choice are things I think public and private education should fully embrace. I have wanted to unfriend him a million times, or ALL CAPS YELL AT HIM that not all schools are prision-like and that many programmes of inquiry are student driven, but then I take a big breath, and realize he is pushing my thinking. At the end of the day, he too wants what is best for kids.

Canada is not 150 years old, appropriation has no place in art, and white people don't get to define oppression.
Shelby is Inuk, and from Arviat, Nunavut. When I published her book I talked about how we wanted to give young, female native voices a global stage. She pushed back, and stated she was not native, and made it clear that my viewpoint was skewed. It is uncomfortable to read her stuff sometimes. Like it is us against them.. but she challenges me to understand that I don't get to define her reality, or name her experiences. She challenges all white Canadians in our privilege and power- and she is a young woman who makes me rethink everything I know about myself as an equity warrior.

I read the editorial page of the Wall Street Journal almost every chance I can. And subscribe to the weekend edition. In paper. Old school like that.
Conservative. Very conservative.
My own teens. They both push me to truly be accountable to my decisions and thinking. One is very emotionally driven(social justice, equal rights, mental health) the other so logical and grounded(always brings it down to simple terms and questions things if they don’t make sense)
Making it necessary that the influence shares online limits answers - above question doesn’t need to be required

Constructivism rules, Papert was prophetic.
Gary isn't always the most nuanced person out there, but he is passionate and more often than not, he nails it. It pushes me to move beyond my traditional teacher led pedagogy and work to give students more voice. I also have become one who pushes back against the status quo in my leadership role.
