Height (cm)175.2HPI60s yo M with a PMHx of HTN, no DM or prior cardiac history. Per wife over phone, patient has been having myalgias and on and off fever at home. p/w increased SOB for the past 2-3 days. Pt denies having any HA, f/c, cough, CP, abdominal pain. States his wife has had a cough recently and works in a hospital, no recent travel. EMS noted pt sating to 50's, placed on high LPM of NC. In ED patient began desaturating and was placed on NRB noted to saturating in 80's, then placed on HFNC eventually titrated to FiO2 60% saturating about 90-91%. ICU was consulted in ED, with decision to prone patient. O2 saturation improved with proning, however, still requiring FiO2 81% saturating 97%.
