12/23/2013 18:52:52Cindy (Ms_CindyLynn)9097.5The color was very rustic, as in it had dark and light brown with a tinge of orange. The veins along the wrapper was smooth, almost like they were sanded down. It was between normal oil and dry.. Very appealing. 97.5I couldn't really get anything from the foot upon lighting.. But later on throughout the experience it have off a creamy leather aroma, which was very delightful. 97.5Medium-StrongFullThe flavors were "mm mm good." Immediately after lighting, the flavors were filled with leather and dark espresso. The taste was rich and bold. No bitterness. I loved it. 97.5Medium-StrongMedium-FullInto the second third, the rich espresso was fading out. The smoke was very smooth and also gave off a smoky wood flavor. At the midpoint of the cigar, the espresso and leather toned down and balanced themselves out even further.95Medium-StrongMedium-FullThe leather came back into the forefront at the last third. The espresso almost disappeared, with the smoky wood flavor becoming more apparent. The smoke was consistently smooth.97.5Perfect! Not too tight, not loose. Thumbs up!97.5The burn was pretty consistent. There was no need to pick up my lighter to adjust during. The entire first third held on, then from then on I ashed it after every couple inches or so. The ash was a bit flaky so I ashed it to be safe. 100This cigar was made very well. It was solid, no soft spots, nicely pressed. 92.5This cigar was very good. There was not too much of a change in the cigar, but enough to keep me wanting more. The cigar did start out very strong with a nice kick in the mouth and mellowed a bit over time. I would definitely recommend this. 75

10/14/2013 21:35:28Robert (NavyPiper)9087.5Very unique looking cigar, box pressed, approx. 5x54, foot tapers to a smaller foot. Medium brown wrapper, roughish texture.87.5Pre-light aroma was mild tobacco with some mustiness.90MediumMediumFirst third started off very peppery, but about half way through it has settled down to a pepper & mustiness.87.5Mild-MediumLight-MediumThe pepper has continued to mellow and is now more balanced with the mustiness, and a wood type flavor. A little hint of a sweetness came in at the end of the third.90MediumMediumThe mustiness in the first two thirds seems to have gone away for good, leaving mild tobacco, pepper, and a slight sweetness.92.5I had trouble deciding on the score for the draw. AT first, now pun intended- it just flat sucked, but once it got past that reduced foot, it became really nice. But initially it was not good...90The burn had a few waves at various time throughout it's length, but each time they corrected themselves.90Again, interesting shape to the foot. Wrapper is rough feeling, and has some small minor imperfections like wrinkling of the wrapper at a couple of seam lines. Firm, but has just the right amount of 'give' to it.87.5It wasn't bad overall, some interesting flavors. The mustiness didn't trip my trigger, but it wasn't what I'd call a definite turn off. The draw as I mentioned earlier initially was horrid, but once past that foot reduction it was fine.67

11/29/2013 11:25:47Brian (B-daddy)9092.5Very nice looking cigar. The figurado with a box press is pretty unusual. The medium to dark brown wrapper is pretty even in color and has a touch of a red hue to it. There are, however, two small holes/tears in the wrapper. Tight seams and double cap. 87.5Not much. A touch of sweetness and cedar. 90MediumMedium-FullFlavors are pretty rich and bold in the first third. Primarily getting leather and black coffee on the draw with the leather hanging around for quite a while on the finish. A couple of times during this third, I got a little bit of a cinnamon note on the draw. There and gone pretty quickly. By the end of the first third, the leather mellows out a bit, melds with the coffee flavors.90Medium-StrongMedium-FullThe leather is back in the second third and now it has some cedar mixing with it. Throughout this third, I'm getting some flinty/mineral flavors, particularly on the finish. Also, getting some nicotine buzz. 90Medium-StrongMediumFlavors in the final third are similar to the second but they have mellowed out and become softer. I'm still getting cedar and some soft leather notes on the draw and cedar with some mineral flavors on the finish. Stays cool and burns even all the way to the nub. 92.5A touch tighter than perfect (for me) but still very good throughout.92.5Pretty even throughout. Never any problems and very good smoke volume. 92.5Very nice looking construction. It feels pretty evenly firm throughout but I have the same concern here as I do with many box pressed cigars. When I tap the wrapper it feels/sounds just a bit hollow under the surface. Almost like the wrapper is lifted just a touch off of the filler material. Sometimes causes wrapper burn issues. I hope I'm wrong. 90This was an interesting flavor profile. I liked the leather and cedar flavors and the mineral notes were pretty interesting. I was surprised that the flavors didn't build in intensity through the last third but, rather, mellowed out. I'd smoke this again. I liked it. 80

1/21/2014 19:44:17Emmett (rhetorik)9097.5I love everything about the appearance of this cigar. It's very unique perfecto shape and box press make for an extraordinary presentation. The wrapper is a reddish-brown and very even in color. There are no large veins or imperfections.95Oak and spice comes off the wrapper and foot, while a caramel sweetness comes from the re-light draw.92.5MediumMedium-FullThe first puffs are woody and sweet with not much spice. As I get a ways in, I start picking up some nice baking spices, basil most apparent. The burn is proving to be somewhat problematic from the narrow foot, I'm hoping it corrects itself soon. Towards the end of this third I start getting some espresso flavor.92.5Medium-StrongMediumThankfully the burn has evened itself out and we are back on track. The spices have shifted to a more peppery spice, mostly red. The wood has faded somewhat and instead is replaced by the leather I picked up in the pre-light. At the end of the third the spices continue to morph and now are more heavy baking spices like cinnamon and clove.95Medium-StrongMediumThe strength has picked up noticeably in this third, creeping into the full range. The finish on the spice is leaving a tingling in my mouth and is lasting quite a long time. The other flavors are now in the background but are still definitely present. I'm still getting some cedar and espresso.97.5The draw was great, just snug enough to produce a lot of smoke.87.5The burn evened itself out after the first third, but the initial light was a problem.95Great construction, no problems. A lot of care went into the making of this cigar.95This was a great smoke, the spice was so dynamic. One minute it was a red pepper, and the next dark baking spice. Kept me very interested. The rest of the flavors were solid throughout. I would definitely smoke more of these and would consider it box-worthy. It wasn't strong enough to scare away anyone, but enough to make it exciting.70
