3/29/2024 9:10:52One Health approaches to study climate sensitive infectious diseases - 12-16 August, 2024Young researchers, e.g., MSc. and PhD candidates as well as postdoctoral scientists, from a broad range of disciplines who have a strong motivation to apply One Health approaches in their field of research or work.ErasmusMC
An interdisciplinary summer school aims to equip early-career and mid-career scientists (public health, veterinary medicine, ecology, infectious diseases) with the main concepts and methods of multidisciplinary system-thinking (One Health) approaches in the research of infectious diseases in a climate change context. The focus will be on the human-animal interface, including vector-borne, zoonotic diseases, and their connection with climate change and associated anthropogenic changes. We will specifically discuss challenges and the research that takes place in Rotterdam and surroundings, an internationally connected urban delta area, vulnerable to the effects of climate change.
