Before Noah Olivier Smith went by the name "Yeat," he began his musical career under the name "Lil Yeat" in 2017 when he made music under that handle. He and friends, including YNGROY, formed their group "530" from ages 16/17 and released music for fun, nothing serious. Sadly, he has since deleted all of that.

He eventually caught the eye of BigBabyGucci and members of Forever World Records / 1500 and began to collaborate with them. This eventually led to him being signed to BigBabyGucci's label. During this time, his handle on socials was @yeat1500. The cover art used for this era is the avatar for FOREVER WORLD LEAGUE® on SoundCloud.
