Communicate the task so that 100% of students understand what to do and how to do it. Move through the lesson so that students have at least 30 minutes to engage in the discourse cycle (prep, engage, reflect) Design and prepare discourse so that students have multiple opportunities to share their thinking. Provide specific praise/feedback to at least 5 students after discourse.
