Verticals
Tracing - SDK reports trace events which are scoped by distributed transactions.
Metrics - SDK reports events which are scoped by resources.
Context - SDK propagates information for use by tracing, metrics, and end users.
OT/OC Compat - SDK consumes existing OpenTracing and OpenCensus instrumentation.

Legend
Alpha - A initial working version, used for feedback on further desgin and development.
Beta - A working version, to test for bugs, performance issues, and edge cases. Automated tests via OT testbed.
RC - A release candidate ready to be reviewed
v1.0 - A completed first release, with measured performance, backwards compatibilty and long-term support.
