| Did you use Status *every day* last week? | [Optional] If anything, what is stopping you from using Status everyday? | Missing features detail | Usability detail
| No | Desktop reliability | #REF!
| No | Desktop version does not work on my mac.
| No | For group / public correspondence media, threading, and other tools make slack the more immediate option. As for 1:1 I just don't have very many contacts. I've added a lot of Status core contributors, but we don't communicate | Media, threading
| No | I didnt use it last friday or the weekend. not much chatter those days
| No | I got locked out of my account on mobile, so nothing you guys could have done differently! using every day this week on desktop and loving it.
| No | i have nothing to gain from it right now, maybe some training on how I could maximize my use for it. To use the app just because i work for the company isn't really an incentive.
| No | I have to install/uninstall builds all the times as I use them for testing, so it's a bit tricky to have a stable account always open
| No | i'm fixing bugs there, can't run separate instance for communication
| No | I'm looking forward to it. I wanted to have a local build running in order to be able to debug and fix simple issues. Slacks still has quite a lot of features that make it more attractive. The most important to me are: 1) Threads 2) Search/History 3) Markdown support (code snippets) | threading, search/history, markdown support
| No | I'm mainly on mobile and seems like proper notifications (sound/vibrate/onscreen) aren't working yet so its abit hard to catch up with real-time communication | notifications (sound/vibreate/onscreen)
| No | I'm starting out in the Embark team and it seems we're mostly using Slack and stick to the weekly "Status time" but don't use it daily.
| No | I'm trying to make up for lost time... Getting my flatmates signed up so we can start using it between us, I guess that'll make it easier for me/us to use everyday, having a person I already know, a point of entry really helps
| No | Inability to use both dev and nightly instances
| No | just didn't got around to it
| No | Lack of channels and people there. Most are still using Slack.
| No | Lack of other people I know using it to chat
| No | Lack of people there
| No | My team (Embark team) relies quite heavily on many of the features in Slack, and so much of our time is spent in Slack that I don't sped much time during the work-day using other communication apps.
| No | No. I'll start next week.
| No | notifications, messages counter on status icon, understanding who is who from status team | notifcations, message counter | annonymous names
| No | picture sharing | media sharing
| No | Purpose: using for using feels forced. It needs to fulfill a need.
| No | Ranked in order of importance: 1) Message Reliability 2) integration with productivity tools (e.g previews and easy hyperlinking) 3) emojis | media - previews, hyperlinking, emojis | message reliability
| No | The last nightly I tried, yesterday, of the Linux desktop client on Ubuntu 18.10 crashed promptly. I sent in the crash dump information. The mobile client doesn't suffice for me for typing more than a modicum of information.
| No | time | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| No | uncomfortable using public group chat, would need private group chat | private group chat
| No | Vacation. I will try to fully onboard this week.
| No | was afk, using it daily on desktop now
| No | was offline | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| No | Windows | Windows | |||||||||||||||||||||
| Yes | Doing it, nothing stopping :)
| Yes | I play with the desktop everyday.
| Yes | I will use Status more often once we have group chats and media files support 🙂 | private group chats
| Yes | It's slow to use (message fetch), and very difficult to add people without first communicating through something else to have them add you. It is not possible to send photos, which is another blocker. The "add code" functionality should be able to scan QR codes from photos on the phone. It should be possible to group chats into favorites, themes, or something else, otherwise the main screen becomes very busy very fast. Some dapps don't work with Status, like Peepeth, so adding them without making sure they work doesn't inspire confidence. There should be a last read checkpoint which people could be automatically taken to like in other chat apps. What's preventing me from using this every day is the lack of my contacts in the app, and what's preventing them is everything above. | last read, contacts drawerMedia, add via QR code | slowness, add a contact, grouping like things
| Yes | Mobile <-> Desktop history sync. | message sync
| Yes | More pings from individual's or notifications from public chats | notifications
| Yes | On mobile: thing is I need to often re-install the builds in order to test new features/fixes, however we have a desktop as well! What would boost the usage of Status as a main messaging tool - is notifications about new message arrival. At the moment I need to often open Status desktop in order to check "Is there any new message?". If we would have a notification - I'm absolutely comfortable to forget about Slack (at least for group chats like #core-chat / #core-dapp / #core-wallet ). https://github.com/status-im/status-react/issues/4432 - pleeeeease! :) | notifications
| Yes | people are not yet sensible to the need to move to status, it's much easier to unconsciously use slack
| Yes | Still looking for a workaround to share images, mostly screen shots. | images, screenshot sharing
| Yes | Struggling with the desktop builds still (and let's be honest, there really isn't a lot of functionality there to keep me engaged).
| Yes | The interface just doesn’t function like standard chat apps, that’s what I expect with today’s technology. Take what works from WhatsApp and Telegram and just copy it and build from there. The design language also doesn’t feel like anything at all. It somehow doesn’t really feel like I’m connected to anything or anyone? It doesn’t feel seamless and it doesn’t make me want to use it. I feel like I have too. I’m excited to open Telegram or WhatsApp because there are nice features, our app doesn’t excite me the same way. I guess it’s just clunky. | design
