of social thinking concepts in creative, playful ways!

1KOut of This WorldLearning all about space and everything in it - students will
learn about what is in space including the International
Space station, sun, moon, stars, and about the galaxy. They
will also learn about astronauts and different animals that
have traveled to space. With every lesson there is a
hands-on learning piece to engage the students in the
learning.

1KIt's All Fun and GamesStudents will learn and practice several team-building skills
through fun games and activities! They'll learn to work
together, listen carefully, communicate effectively, and think
critically. Best of all, students will have fun!

11-2How Does Your Garden Grow?Studnets will learn all about photosynthesis, the life cycle of
a plant, and how to classify a plant. They'll also get their
hands dirty by weeding, planting, and tending plant beds!

11-2Giving Back to NatureStudents will be prompted with the question, “How can we
help give back to nature?” They will take nature walks in the
morning, learn the importance of caring for nature, and even
find ways they can give back to nature. This is a great
opportunity for students to get outdoors this summer!

11-2WeavingExperience the art of weaving in this fun and hands-on MindCraft session. Students will learn the history and the importance of weaving, as well as actually weave with the various techniques and various textiles available. June 6-16M-TH8-11Roosevelt

potential made possible by water whether for fun, for power,
or for hydration of our bodies.

11-2You've Got a Friend in Me!Being social and making friends is an important part of our world. Although learning how to be a good friend takes time, it is important that students learn how to build trust and collaborate with others. 11-2The Super Hero in You! Superheroes are all around us every day and everywhere. Everyone has a superhero inside them waiting to be discovered. What's your superpower? 13-4American Roadtrip Students will map out a roadtrip through the great United
States! They will research a destination, plan stops along
the way, reate a budget, and more! It will be a fun and
engaging way to learn more about our country while also
gaining some helpful life skills!

13-4Upcycled InventorsIn this hands-on class, students will create and build useful
products or fun games from upcycled items that are normally
thrown away or recycled.

13-4Marine BiologyUtilizing hands-on instruction, students will learn how the
ocean is like a layered cake, what creatures live there, how
important the ocean is to life on earth, and they will choose
a project to share what they have learned. During the
session students will visit the Southwestern College
Aquarium and learn from the Marine Biology department
professor and students.

13-4Tree House ConstructionThis project-based learning activity asks students to design
and build a 3D version of their dream treehouse! They will
focus on various design elements, use multiple problem-
solving skills, and collaborate within the classroom.

castles, such as the great hall or living quarters. They will
create their own coat of arms and the ultimate hands on
activity - creating an accurate 3D model of a castle!

will create campsites they could thrive in! They will
determine how to get food (fishing), how to get water, how to
