PURPOSE: To confirm that the horse demonstrates correct basics, and in addition to the requirements of Training Level, has developed the thrust to achieve improved balance and throughness and to maintain a more consistent contact with the bit. All trot work may be ridden sitting or rising, unless stated.JUDGE:Ida Norris

Halt, salute; Proceed collected trot
Engagement, uphill balance and quality of trot; clear, balanced transitions; straightness; attentiveness; immobility (min. 3 seconds) 6.56.5riders left shoulder and seat bone up and forward slightly . horse straight until fell left off centerline before going right ( soo unfortunate... . rider looking down and leaning to turn.. head needs to be level like E.T. ( swivel your head level) and eyes looking forward but not down / leaning pushes horse avoids bend ( Ps :):) what a lovely fantastic cat!!! )

Track right

Shoulder-in right
Angle, bend and balance; engagement and quality of trot66steps short and inactive behind ( ground bound) in the shoulder in.. need energy and impulsion / it was just barely 3 tracks.. a little more angle and poll flexion right/ rider is collapsed over right side// leg leg loose so no outside leg for the bend and the inside seat bone and leg are overactive pushing the horse sideways.. rather than bending around

X-E
Half circle right 10m

Half circle left 10m
Shape and size of half circles; supple change of bend on centerline; balance and quality of trot66you looked down and leaned in so her gets on 4 hand and bobs his head. you need to rotate your belly button about 3 degrees and swivel your head level around turns keeping weight even in both seatbones and bothe stirrups to facilitate bend. keep up more impulsion to keep this horse on his hind legs rather that shoulders
14
4E-KTravers leftAngle, bend and balance; engagement and quality of trot5.5211more like leg yield.. he need s lot more poll and neck to the left and sit left while you use your right leg, shoulders to be a good deal more supple. he was irregular about 4-5 steps as you let him out of the movement ( check front feet and shoulders for comfort)
15
5F-BShoulder-in leftAngle, bend and balance; engagement and quality of trot66fell on and off the rial, bend not well established around inside leg/ needs rider balance and steady aids

X-E
Half circle left 10m

Half circle right 10m
Shape and size of half circles; supple change of bend on centerline; balance and quality of trot66trips with front feet , lacks engagement and trot tends to be very flat / shoulders low
17
7E-HTravers rightAngle, bend and balance; engagement and quality of trot428above the bit, flipping head and not bend established . for this level this trot is "working trot.. it is very flat, lacks power and engagement/impulsion-- especially easy to see in the short sides. additionally you are turning the short side corners with the angle of a first level horse ie little bend and far from the rail/corner

V
Change rein, medium trot

Collected trot
Moderate lengthening of frame and stride with engagement, elasticity, suspension, straightness and uphill balance44Does not track up!. short quick steps with shoulders down. my advice would be to explore why this horse is ground bound and takes such short flat steps especially in the trot tour. obviously going more forward and using impulsion is the first response but if that is not possible and the horse does not improve consider if the the horse is comfortable . .. fet, back, shoulders. legs, saddle etxc.

Immobility; willing steps back with correct rhythm and count; straightness; clear transitions6212a lovely square halt. too bad he was not immobile with the neck.. that would enhance the score. he downs back but appears to drag the feet ( you have the impression he leaves them behind himself as he goes.. work for the first step to be clearly diagonal and that they pick up their feet and step backwards in diagonal pairs rather than dragging the feet)

Turn left
Quality of shortened walk strides; tempo and regularity; activity of hind legs; bend and fluency in turn66you began correctly but stopped looking or keeping your body swivelled and so your horse stopped turning about 1/2 way into it / and became slightly counter bent.. clear to see that the left foreleg/hoof in the walk is not landing heel first as should be .. may explain some of the tripping or irregular steps

Clear, balanced straight transitions; regularity and quality of gaits44no walk shown and some irregular steps after horse braces onto its 4 legs .. rider needs to keep outside seatbone in place( down) in all turns and circles ( eyes to look forward head and belly button to swivel to match line a movement/pattern to augment and direct bend)

Collected canter
Moderate lengthening of frame and stride with engagement, elasticity, suspension, straightness and uphill balance; consistent tempo; clear, balanced transitions55poll is below withers, shoulders low, forehand lacks reach and hind legs not carrying weight or covering ground enough. at this level unless you are asked for stretch poll MUST be above withers.. In medium canter the shoulders and poll should go up like you are tipping back on a surfboard ; the forelegs and poll go up in front of you and gallop uphill in front of you.... need to use corners of short side with shoulders and poll uphill and rider turns off the outside aids - no leaning.

What a beautiful horse and lovely markings! A show stopper! thank you for this lovely Show turnout. primarily this lovely horse was in working gaits today on the 4hand. there was enough irregular steps in turns and lack of reach in the 4 hand for me to consider recommending that you check this horse for comfort. If he becomes comfortable he must be asked to go more forward with his shoulders, neck and poll up, active behind. today he was in a balance similar to a low first level horse. good luck.. I believe you have potential but just need to get this worked out.
