Pursuant to 10 CCR 2698.91 - Reporting Auto Body Repair Labor Rate Survey, please find the results of the Auto Body Repair Labor Rate Survey conducted by State Farm Insurance. The information contained in this document is the 'Public Information' as outlined in 2698.91 (d) (1).

State Farm employs an on-line continuous survey process to simplify repairers' submission of changes to equipment/capabilities, capacity and pricing information. Repairers can update their information by accessing our 'business-to-business' website, b2b.statefarm.comĀ® to submit updated information at any time. Because we employ an on-line continuous survey process, we do not have a list of shops 'that did not respond to the survey.'

The State Farm Auto Repair Facility Survey has been in place for several years with periodic updates taking place when business needs arise. In 2016, State Farm refined certain geographic market boundaries utilized to determine Prevailing Competitive Prices (PCP) to better align with government defined market areas referred to as Core Based Statistical Areas (CBSA's). In 2018, State Farm further redefined market areas located in Los Angeles, San Diego and Ventura counties.The geographic boundaries of market structures are outlined in the enclosed materials.

There are 2990 known repairers in the state whose rates were used in our calculation of the PCP, because they have elected to participate in the survey and meet the capabilities criteria. We are aware of 3039 repairers who have either chosen not to participate in the survey or do not meet the Equipment/Capabilities criteria. The results of our continuous survey are broken down by market area, of which there are 46 in the state.

The PCP for each market represents the prices charged by not less than the majority of the repair market. A market is comprised of repairers who have completed the Repair Facility Survey and who meet the Equipment/Capabilities Criteria listed on the Repair Facility Survey form. Specific information for each market is contained within this document.
