This is meant to be a guide for the game for English-reading or English-speaking players who have difficulty understanding or playing games in Japanese.

Note: As of version 0.40, the game is playable in English. Simply go to the Key Config menu and switch the language to "English" on the bottom.

I'm pretty much done other than minor changes until the next version comes out. This guide is for version 0.431.

Difficulty Adjustment/Game Modes

After game completion, virus/Navi difficulty can be reset in the post-game area from Alice's HP (go down-left and talk to the red Sprite Prog near the top). Set number to modify added rank to enemies.

To play hard mode, from the title screen (while highlighted on new game or continue), hold select and press LRLLRLR. If done correctly, new game will highlight in yellow. All enemies go up 1 rank.

To play super hard mode, from the title screen, hold select and press RRLLRLL. If done correctly, new game will highlight in blue. All enemies go up 2 ranks.

To play max difficulty mode, from the title screen, hold select and press RRRLLLRL. If done correctly, you'll hear a sound. If done correctly, New Game will turn red.

To play DeadBody mode, from the title screen, hold select and press RLRLRRL. If done correctly, you'll hear a sound. Press New Game to unlock the AddOn, and equip it to have 1 HP in battle.

To play Star Force mode, from the title screen, hold select and press LLLRRRLR. If done correctly, you'll hear a sound. Press New Game to unlock 3 AddOns. Equip them to play on a Star Force field.

This is your menu by the end game, but some of the options are available at the beginning. Here's the rundown:

Chip FolderYou'll start out with Folder1, but eventually you'll get extra folders. Editing is similar to older Battle Network games.

Subchips7 different subchips. You can increase the number you hold with SubMemory pickups, similar to other BN games. See note for order.

DataListBasically the Library. Lists all chips and PAs you've collected so far.

NaviShows Shanghai's info. Once you get AddOn, you can customize it (AddOn == NaviCust). If you have Style Change, you can modify it here too.

VirusThis is a feature unique to Genso Network where you can feed a caught virus with frags, strengthening it when you summon it in battle.

MailShows the mail that you have received.
