Finished with a closed foot and fan pigtail triple cap. What a beauty." -Estevan Z. (TheRealBanzi) | 92.5 | "Smelling the body of the cigar I find cinnamon, sandalwood and clove. You find the same on the foot cause of the closed foot. Cutting the foot and taking a few pre-light draws I find cedar, umami, mushroom, hay. Man, there is a whole lot going on. " -Estevan Z. (TheRealBanzi) | 92.5 | Mild | Medium | "The third opens with a bunch of cedar on the palate. Pushing some smoke through the nose and there is some fiery fresh ground black pepper. All of this subsides rather quickly and then settles into a round marzipan note that is dusted with lemon zest. As I smoke on the lemon zest transitions into the retro as well. The smoke is creamy and smooth and the finish is medium in length. What a great start..." -Estevan Z. (TheRealBanzi) | 92.5 | Medium | Medium | "The marzipan has become the driving note throughout the third. The lemon zest has stuck around in both the palate and the retro. As the third comes to an end the smoke morphs to more of a floral centric profile. The smoke has stayed smooth and creamy and the finish has stayed medium in length. I am loving this cigar." -Estevan Z. (TheRealBanzi) | 92.5 | Medium | Medium-Full | "The final third starts with the floral notes but quickly shifts into a cinnamon heavy feel, making me think of Big Red gum. The finish is becoming longer with a great white pepper on the tip of the tongue. There some great mint and bread notes that come and go through the final minutes of the cigar. Nub worthy for sure..." -Estevan Z. (TheRealBanzi) | 92.5 | "Clean and easy from start to finish. This creates tons of smooth and creamy smoke. The color is so light I'm sure some companies would even consider this a candela." -Isaac M. (The Nothing) | 87.5 | "I picked up extra-pungent barnyard aromas from this cigar. There seemed to be a bit of cashew added on in the foot. " -Isaac M. (The Nothing) | 92.5 | Mild | Medium-Full | "This cigar started off with a much larger punch of flavor than I was expecting! Lighting boasted a decent pepper kick and a variety of spices. Grilled meat taste came in a short time later and seemed to be the main flavor through the first third. " -Isaac M. (The Nothing) | 87.5 | Mild | Medium | "Second third moved to a light sourdough note. Bready with a tinge of sourness, I'm not calling it bad. That developed in more of a light belgian beer flavor. There was still a bit of kitchen spices buried in the background that could be easily overlooked. " -Isaac M. (The Nothing) | 90 | Mild | Medium-Full | "Final third completed the trip of the whole cigar by melding all the flavors I noticed in the first and second thirds. Kitchen spices and a light lager beer were most noticeable, with grilled meat flavors coming and going through the finish." -Isaac M. (The Nothing) | 97.5 | "The draw was spot on with a v-cut." -Isaac M. (The Nothing) | 92.5 | "The cigar showed a near razor burn line through the first third. Not a single fault could be found in the construction. " -Isaac M. (The Nothing) | 92.5 | "This is surely a solid choice for anybody looking for a mild smoke with a great body. I think it was the body that impressed me the most. It really give full body on the palate but the flavors are still fairly light as is the strength. The cap is just slightly crooked and has a pigtail twist. All seams are tight and the foot is closed. " -Jason H. (Jokey Smurf) | 90 | "The wrapper aroma is light and sweet while the aroma at the closed foot is sweet with a sharp compost note." -Jason H. (Jokey Smurf) | 87.5 | Medium | Medium | "The first puffs of this cigar are really unique for me, there is a leather note and a bit of sharp black coffee, but it is all overtopped by a significant tangy note. This is sharply enhanced when I retrohale the smoke. Through the nose the smoke is sharp but the predominant note is a metallic tang that actually makes me think of holding nails in my mouth while working... right now I’m not sure I like it. " -Jason H. (Jokey Smurf) | 87.5 | Medium | Medium | "Into the second third the leather and coffee have fallen off and now the metallic tang is fully in the front. Through the nose there is now a black pepper note and a lingering burn that is not pairing well with the mouth flavors. " -Jason H. (Jokey Smurf) | 82.5 | Medium | Medium | "Into the final third the flavors have resolved into a one dimensional metallic rusty nail tang that is really turning me off. Unfortunately I’m not getting anything else at this point and I’m struggling to finish. " -Jason H. (Jokey Smurf) | 95 | "This cigar really had a nice draw from beginning to end. As a result the smoke was plentiful and cool. " -Jason H. (Jokey Smurf) | 95 | "I was very pleased with the burn performance of this cigar. A nice slow burn rate and very even burn line." -Jason H. (Jokey Smurf) | 95 | "I liked the visual appearance of this cigar and was very pleased with the burn performance. The ash was firm as well and held on quite well, dropping off in one inch chunks. " -Jason H. (Jokey Smurf) | 87.5 | "The appearance and performance were the high points for me. Unfortunately, just like with cooking, taste is where it’s at and this one is not something I’d choose to smoke again. Only worry for me is the wrapper, it's smooth, oily and sexy, but has a greenish tint that I'm not liking or some reason. Light brown, nearly tan color overall. " -John I. (John I.) | 90 | "Deep rich fermented notes with a lot of sweetness. Very impressive. " -John I. (John I.) | 87.5 | Medium | Medium | "Opens really dry and sharp, very distnctively on the retrohale. Gets deep in there. Getting a ton of smoke production. Fifteen minutes in an it continues to be very crisp and dry. There's some soft leathery sweetness apparent on the finish. It's not displaying a woody flavor, just overwhelmingly crisp and dry. " -John I. (John I.) | 87.5 | Medium | Medium | "Remains consistently crisp and dry. Really nice construction here. Burn has been crisp, and the draw is effortless. Just wish there was a bit more here on display. Toward the mid point there are some baking spices hinted at in the finish, but never really develop beyond occasional wisps on the palate. " -John I. (John I.) | 87.5 | Medium | Medium | "More, and more, and more of the same. The spices hinted at in the mid-portion remain buried deep in the mix. Not bad, but just isn't really engaging. " -John I. (John I.) | 95 | "Effortless, very open draw. Loved it. " -John I. (John I.) | 95 | "Very well behaved and quite correct throughout. " -John I. (John I.) | 95 | "Very well crafted cigar, and in a vitola that I adored. Wish there had been a bit more to offer in the flavor department. " -John I. (John I.) | 87.5 | "Flawless construction in a vitola that is a personal favorite, plus pigtails, and closed foot. Unfortunately this didn't offer much in terms of flavor. It was dry, and crisp for the duration, with occasional hints of sweetness, some soft leathery notes, and a bit of spice apparent in bursts, but never really reached the point where it was truly engaging. Only downside was the draw was to tight and forced you to really work at it. | 100
91 | 1/30/2021 13:42:30 | Isaac M. (The Nothing) | 1093 | Great | Nice touch with pigtail and covered foot. The cigar shows minimal veins and not much visible of seams. The color is so light I'm sure some companies would even consider this a candela. | Good | I picked up extra-pungent barnyard aromas from this cigar. There seemed to be a bit of cashew added on in the foot. | Great | Mild | Medium-Full | This cigar started off with a much larger punch of flavor than I was expecting! Lighting boasted a decent pepper kick and a variety of spices. Grilled meat taste came in a short time later and seemed to be the main flavor through the first third. | Good | Mild | Medium | Second third moved to a light sourdough note. Bready with a tinge of sourness, I'm not calling it bad. That developed in more of a light belgian beer flavor. There was still a bit of kitchen spices buried in the background that could be easily overlooked. | Very Good | Mild | Medium-Full | Final third completed the trip of the whole cigar by melding all the flavors I noticed in the first and second thirds. Kitchen spices and a light lager beer were most noticeable, with grilled meat flavors coming and going through the finish. | Close to perfect | The draw was spot on with a v-cut. | Great | The cigar showed a near razor burn line through the first third. After the ash fell the burn became a bit uneven, but never required a touch up. | Excellent | This cigar had the looks and the performance. Not a single fault could be found in the construction. | Great | This is surely a solid choice for anybody looking for a mild smoke with a great body. I think it was the body that impressed me the most. It really give full body on the palate but the flavors are still fairly light as is the strength. This could easily be an "any time" cigar that I will enjoy again. | 90
92 | 1/31/2021 17:03:31 | Jason H. (Jokey Smurf) | 1093 | Very Good | This sample is presented with a dusty looking light brown wrapper with ample veins and easily visible seams. The cap is just slightly crooked and has a pigtail twist. All seams are tight and the foot is closed. | Very Good | The wrapper aroma is light and sweet while the aroma at the closed foot is sweet with a sharp compost note. | Good | Medium | Medium | The first puffs of this cigar are really unique for me, there is a leather note and a bit of sharp black coffee, but it is all overtopped by a significant tangy note. This is sharply enhanced when I retrohale the smoke. Through the nose the smoke is sharp but the predominant note is a metallic tang that actually makes me think of holding nails in my mouth while working... right now I’m not sure I like it. | Good | Medium | Medium | Into the second third the leather and coffee have fallen off and now the metallic tang is fully in the front. Through the nose there is now a black pepper note and a lingering burn that is not pairing well with the mouth flavors. | Subpar | Medium | Medium | Into the final third the flavors have resolved into a one dimensional metallic rusty nail tang that is really turning me off. Unfortunately I’m not getting anything else at this point and I’m struggling to finish. | Excellent | This cigar really had a nice draw from beginning to end. As a result the smoke was plentiful and cool. | Excellent | I was very pleased with the burn performance of this cigar. A nice slow burn rate and very even burn line. | Excellent | I liked the visual appearance of this cigar and was very pleased with the burn performance. The ash was firm as well and held on quite well, dropping off in one inch chunks. | Good | The appearance and performance were the high points for me. Unfortunately, just like with cooking, taste is where it’s at and this one is not something I’d choose to smoke again. I’ve never had a cigar taste so strongly of rusty metal and it just never went away. Honestly it was tough for me to finish. | 55
93 | 2/4/2021 11:02:38 | John I. (John I.) | 1093 | Great | Man, love this. Nice sub-50 ring, with a pigtail, and a closed foot. Only worry for me is the wrapper, it's smooth, oily and sexy, but has a greenish tint that I'm not liking or some reason. Light brown, nearly tan color overall. | Very Good | Deep rich fermented notes with a lot of sweetness. Very impressive. | Good | Medium | Medium | Opens really dry and sharp, very distnctively on the retrohale. Gets deep in there. Getting a ton of smoke production. Fifteen minutes in an it continues to be very crisp and dry. There's some soft leathery sweetness apparent on the finish. It's not displaying a woody flavor, just overwhelmingly crisp and dry. | Good | Medium | Medium | Remains consistently crisp and dry. Really nice construction here. Burn has been crisp, and the draw is effortless. Just wish there was a bit more here on display. Toward the mid point there are some baking spices hinted at in the finish, but never really develop beyond occasional wisps on the palate. | Good | Medium | Medium | More, and more, and more of the same. The spices hinted at in the mid-portion remain buried deep in the mix. Not bad, but just isn't really engaging. | Excellent | Effortless, very open draw. Loved it. | Excellent | Very well behaved and quite correct throughout. | Excellent | Very well crafted cigar, and in a vitola that I adored. Wish there had been a bit more to offer in the flavor department. | Good | Flawless construction in a vitola that is a personal favorite, plus pigtails, and closed foot. Unfortunately this didn't offer much in terms of flavor. It was dry, and crisp for the duration, with occasional hints of sweetness, some soft leathery notes, and a bit of spice apparent in bursts, but never really reached the point where it was truly engaging. Well made in spades, but not very nuanced. | 75
