For example, I want to know how applicable applying for this prize would be for our organization. We have been in the works on finding funding to help support a pilot for installing solar on our low-income clients across our state. We serve at least 300 home annually but have never implimented solar yet dispite being allowed by DOE to fund such projects. We just need some start up funds (I.e. the prize) to help impliment this in our exisiting program.The prize is seeking organizations that have the desire and ambition to develop and finance a project portfolio of two or more projects that, in aggregate, total at least 1 MWDC of community solar (not exceeding 5 MWDC for a single facility) during the course of the prize. The goal of this prize is to not install residential solar onto homes.
