1		Compliant Cleaning Products
2	Following is a sample list of compliant cleaning items. This list is by no means exhaustive; it's a sample of available options on the market tailored toward smaller businesses. You can order directly from the manufacturers listed in the following tab and/or request the items from your current distributor or a new distributor (listed in the Distributors + Retail tab). This list is updated periodically, so please check back for updates! Additional compliant options are available on the Safer Choice, Dfe, and Green Seal directories.
3	All of your cleaning products should have either a third-party certification from EPA Safer Choice, Green Seal or Dfe Product Criteria. Limit the use of disinfectants to only surfaces in restrooms or on door handles. When necessary, use a hydrogen peroxide based disinfectant product with an automatic dilution system. Disinfectant alternative = Active ingredient can be lactic acid or citric acid
4		Safer Choice helps consumers, businesses, and purchasers find products that perform and contain ingredients that are safer for human health and the environment. Safer Choice is an EPA Pollution Prevention (P2) program, which includes practices that reduce, eliminate, or prevent pollution at its source, such as using safer ingredients in products.
5		The Design for the Environment (DfE) label helps consumers and purchasers find antimicrobial products, like disinfectants and sanitizers, that have been reviewed by EPA and found to meet both the pesticide registration requirements and the standard for DfE-certified products. These products contain ingredients that have been reviewed for both human health and environmental fate.
