Mrs. Sadlerlisa.sadler@prairievalleyisd.netSo I can bring/send my kid to school just as normal on Flex Days?Yes! You will not have to find a babysitter or daycare for your child if you do not want to, you can send as a normal day and nothing will change!

Mrs. Sadlerlisa.sadler@prairievalleyisd.netMy kid drives or has a way up there, can or she come just for the meal and leave if they have their transportation?Yes, breakfast will be from 7:30-8:00 and lunch from 12:00-12:30. They will be allowed into the cafeteria those times. The student must be present, we cannot send the meal home with someone else.

Kayla WoolfOn Flex Days, does the student have to be there at a certain time and stay all day, or is it more come and go?It would be expected to be as scheduled, just to keep it from being a free for all here! But, if your student comes in the morning but you need to pick up early for an appoitnment or something, that is fine! We also want to make sure they get to experience the perks of being here on those days!

Kimberly Beaverkjbeaver@yahoo.com I feel it's a excellent opportunity for the student to have more time in areas they maybe struggling in or just want to advance in.I believe it will be more of a benefit not only to students, staff, and parents. but the community also. shaping the minds of the future. We are 100% for the exitcting opportunity. Thank you! Great point about helping the community as well, the benefits seem to reach beyond what we expected!

Kayla WoolfWhat would the hours be on Flex Mondays? Would it be the same as the regular school days?We could do an abreviated schedule, like 8:00-3:00 or similar, but that may make it hard for parents to have to get their kid to the bus or from the bus at different times compared to Tuesday through Friday! So our initial thought is to keep it the same! We need more feedback on this!

Christy Tompkinsxacat202@hotmail.comHorrible morning person, why are the days starting earlier, instead of at 8 and ending at 4?Those hours chosen were based upon feedback from what other schools have done in the past and research based on kids losing focus so much more easily after lunch. Ending at 4 makes for a long travel home for those that live on our farthest bus routes, too. Plus, our buses get them here usually with almost 30 minutes to eat breakfast, which is more than ample time. So, bus in the morning will be only about 10 minutes earlier than it normally is, giving them still plenty of time to eat. But, many of us feel your pain!

Charissa KutieI know many have mentioned concern of the longer day, but my thoughts are we should go to 4:00. As of now, we are only gaining approx 3 min per class period, which isn't enough to cover any additional material to make up for the day we no longer have. These 'extra minutes' can also allow us to have the Monday after spring break as a FLEX day.

Charissa KutieIf times stay as stated, from the teacher perspective, why don't we just make Mar 29 a regular day as well. I see confusion happening the 22nd and 29th with attendance.

Charissa KutieI noticed on one school's daily schedule, they use breakfast time as part of their required time. They 'start' school earlier, but then they do breakfast. Is this a possibility to help with our required minutes?
