Welcome to the SOBP Brainhack Project Submission Page. All attendees are encouraged to have some sort of project in mind. The idea of a Project (or perhaps more accurately, “What you’d like to accomplish during your 2 days at the Brainhack”) can be very broad. It can be: to learn something, to design something, to code something, to plan something, etc.

If the projects can be expressed ahead of the actual Brainhack, that is great since other attendees can see what types of things everyone is thinking about ahead of time.

We will use this template to collect Project Ideas, and the collected projects will be available here. While we encourage pre submission of project ideas, rest assured that pre submission is not required.

At the actual Brainhack, there will be an early session where everyone who has a project idea (pre submitted or not) will get the opportunity to briefly (~2 minutes) ‘pitch’ their idea to the group. The purpose of these pitches is to help folks find similar projects so that they can team up to work together; or you might hear of something you find more interesting/useful that can you can try to team up with. Our hope is to get everyone to coalesce into ‘small groups’ (3-5 people) to work together on their selected topic.

Analyzing maternal survey data pre and post pregnancy, MRI and behavioural data from children gathered from infancy to 3 years of age to understand what factors impact early development. We hope to inform what supports are most beneficial to community stakeholders and what risks are important to mitigate through targeted interventions and policy makers.

The Pregnancy during the COVID-19 Pandemic Study involves a rich longituinal dataset that can characterize early development in context with factors that confer risk and resiliency.
