Characters are divided into 2 Categories: Heroes & Villains. Please see http://tinyurl.com/MarvelRPRules for a list of rules governing the RP.

All Characters must be full time residents of the main Marvel Universe (616). Characters from other universes are not permitted unless they become permanent residents of the Main Marvel Universe in the comics (So no Ultimate, 2099 etc)

This is not a complete list of characters you may apply for, you may apply for any character active in main Marvel continuity (post 2016 Secret Wars). Although we would prefer you abstain from playing dead characters, if you must, please include a resurrection story in addition to the backstory. Some characters mainly operate in space such as the Guardians of the Galaxy or the Annihilators. You may still apply for these characters however be aware you may find it difficult to find regular RP.

Characters reserved for GM use only or deemed unplayable due to events in the timeline include: Galactus, Hell Lords (Dormammu, Mephisto, Blackheart etc), Cosmic Entities (Abraxas, Eternity, Beyonder, etc), Uatu, Charles Xavier, Doctor Octopus, Mar-Vell (Captain Marvel), Jean Grey and the Phoenix Force (Hosts allowed but can’t access force). For a more complete list of villains reserved for story use only, click Tab 2 at the bottom.

Please note that many characters serve on Multiple Teams so they are listed only under their primary affiliation. (Ex: Wolverine on X Men, Astonishing X Men, Avengers & Uncanny Avengers Notes will be placed under each team about members listed elsewhere.)

Uncanny X MenLead by Cyclops and mainly constituted of the remnants of the Phoenix Five are fugitives that aim to protect mutants no matter the cost. This team is willing to break the law and to protect their people. They will help humans who support them but will take on those who stand in their way. They operate out of the old Weapon X Facility.
