E.H. Taylor, Jr. Warehouse C Tornado Surviving (opened)?Nick Piepmeier~$50? $60? Unopened bottles go for $600, according to the intarwebs (lol), which is absolutely not worth it. The roof of the aging warehouse was ripped off by a tornado. Instead of moving the barrels, the distillers allowed the barrels to be exposed to the elements, causing a lot more movement through the wood. While the amount of whiskey lost to evaporation is around 10% in most barrels, it was closer to 40% with this batch. As a result, this bourbon has some pretty wild flavor to it.

There's a beautiful spice to it, great mouthfeel and nothing like what I had expected. I think I'm in love"; "Love this stuff. I've gone through a few bottles.";" I can definitely taste the syrupy, blackberry tartness that's kind of similar to port. That said, it's definitely tastes like a bourbon and it shows well. With the port finish, I was worried this might be overly sweet and "grapey". It isn't."
