COVID19 Collaborative (Co-production) Ecosystem: Overview
2
Purpose:
3
Main: Establishing and supporting collaborative ecosystem (Connection, Communication, Collaboration, Support) among key existing COVID efforts/entities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of knowledge supply chain in ways that support development of the AHRQ Digital Knowledge Platform and other components of the Knowledge Ecosystem proposed in the ACTS Roadmap.
4
Secondary: Drive interest among other communities/efforts, attract key partners.
5
Does this mean there will be no more centralized work and that all work will be through the collaboration ecosystem? This will be reflected in the structure of the collaborative ecosystem.
6
Steps:
7
1. Identify entities across the proposed collaborative ecosystem (Table 1)
8
2. Identify workgroups (WGs) within each entity (Table 1)
9
3. Identify main goal, outcome, and gaps in resources/tools required to achieve the goal for each entity/WG (Table 1)
10
4. Identify existing collaboration (intersecting communities/entities) (Table 1)
11
5. Define reasons for existing edges/collaboration
12
6. Develop current ecosystem map (network diagram) based on already established collaboration (listed in Table 1)
13
7. Assess entities need for collaboration (may be based on gaps in Tools/Resources to achieve the goal), readiness to collaborate, scope of collaboration, etc.
14
8. Propose “desired” ecosystem map based on steps 5 and 7, common outcomes, and gaps in resources/tools (Table 1)
15
9. Invite a key person (representative) from each entity to present in 5 min about the entity, brainstorm collaboration roadmap (leader, representatives, what do you do, how you do it, what tools, main outcomes, where you are in the process, gaps)
16
10
17
11. Decide on collaboration platform
18
12. Process of collaboration
19
13. Monitoring and support
20
21
Questions to answer/think about:
22
· What needs exist from entities perspective for collaboration (will define edges)?
23
· Technical Infrastructure: What technology solutions and services to use?
24
· Technical Infrastructure: Technology Capabilities (audio and video conferencing, chat, messaging, authoring tool, file sharing, archive, reminders, meeting scheduling, webinar solution)?
25
· Human Infrastructure: Do we need to distinguish between/to separate business-to-business (B2B, or entity to entity) and business-to-consumer (B2C, or entity to public) communities?
26
· Human Infrastructure: Who are the intersecting networks/entities?
27
· Human Infrastructure: Do network communities have sufficient representations from all sectors/expertise (do we want to think about geographic represetation)?
28
· Information Infrastructure: What information they need to be share?
29
· Protocols: Think about intellectual property, privacy, security, and other legal considerations.
30
· Monitoring and analytics
