9 | What does Police and Prison Abolition mean in the context of Black Lives Matter? | |||||||||
10 | This Curriculum is a resource to think critically about Police and Prison Abolition. Public education is critical for movement building. This resource guide aims to challenge the falsehood that abolition is neither possible nor realistic. Black Lives Matter means Black Liberation: Freedom from State sanctioned violence in the form of murder and toxic policing of Black and Brown Communities. This guide was curated by members of the Beyond the Bars Fellowship at the Columbia Center for Justice (ig @columbiacenterforjustice), Bolaji Oluwasola, Jamilah McMillan, Myrna Santos, and Matthew Moll. If you have the capacity and would like to make a donation for the work that went into creating this resource guide, we ask that you make a donation to HOLLA, a community organization doing incredible healing work in New York and beyond: https://healwithholla.com/ Follow @thinkingabolition on instagram for easy ways to reshare this content.
