Boss Bat replaced with "Boss Beast"The Boss Bat swoops down at you! It's shaggier and snoutier than usual, for some reason. And... wait a minute... three heads? This is at least 50% more of a problem than you were expecting!

Knob Goblin King replaced with "Knob Goblin Beast"The Knob Goblin King freaks out when you enter. "Alarm!" he yells. "An intruder! A horrible beast!" He grabs a fistful of bright red mushrooms from a tray, and crams them in his mouth. "My liege, no!" cries the servant holding the tray. "Not the red ones to eating! Those are full of lycopene!" He undergoes a horrible transformation, which for brevity's sake I'll just say is roughly similar to your own transformation, except since goblins are fungoid creatures it's a much squishier process. Did you ever see Akira? It's a little like that, except instead of a giant tentacle baby you end up with a sort of mushroomy werewolf.

BonerDagon replaced with "Curséd Bonerdagon"When you enter the tomb, you find the Bonerdagon there as expected. As he turns to face you, one of his wings knocks an ancient urn from its pedestal, shattering it and spraying the ashes across the floor. You and the Bonerdagon both lean in to look at the pedestal's engraving, which reads "WHOSOEVER DISTURBETH MY REST SHALL SUFFER MY CURSE, BEAST THAT THOU ART -- KING RALPH II (THE SPITEFUL ONE)"

The Bonerdagon howls in pain and berserk rage as his skeletal form twists into an even more bestial shape, and dark coarse fur sprouts from his bones, somehow.

Groar is "Just Groar"You don't see anything different about him, and he doesn't undergo any sudden transformation before attacking you. I guess he was just beastly enough already?

Lord Spookyraven is "Lord Beastlyraven""Lord Spookyraven, I presume," you say, as you enter the Summoning Chamber. The old man whirls around, enraged by the interruption, and makes a mystical gesture at you, chanting incomprehensible syllables. Then he hesitates, thinks about what he's just said, and tries the syllables again, in a slightly different order. Suddenly he's wracked by painful-looking contortions, and emits a raspy moan as he transforms into a grizzled, white-haired (but still very pointy) beast!

Protector Spectre is "Protector Beast"Usually when you get here, I say "This is the ghost of a mummy of an ancient high priest, which is pretty scary, but not as scary as the ghost of a mummy of an ancient werewolf high priest would be."

Guess what?

Dr. Awkward is "Were-Dr. Awkwarder, ew"Dr. Awkward gestures at you with the Staff of Fats, apparently intending to use its powers -- whatever they are -- against you. But, something goes wrong! Green electricity coruscates down the length of the Staff, and up Dr. Awkward's arm -- he howls in pain! His body twists and writhes, and bursts out of his raincoat, revealing a new muscular, bestial form! He's still wearing his hat, though.

"Hgrraaarrgh!" he yells.

The Big Wisniewski is "The Beast Wisniewski"The Big Wisniewski (who, unlike the other bosses, I can't just assume you've met before, because you might've done the Island the other way in all your previous runs... but I'm going to anyway) looks different than usual. He's much hairier than before -- and that's saying something -- as well as having sharp teeth and big claws. He's still wearing the bathrobe, though.

"Jeez, Guy, what happened to you?" you ask.

"Huh?" He looks down at his hands. "Oh weird, man. No wonder the holes in my bowling ball didn't fit right. I didn't even notice."

"You didn't notice yourself turning into a beastman?"

"I wasn't paying attention, man. I've just been, you know, abiding. Anyway, graaaarrrrgggh!

The Man is "The Beastman"This used to be a man. A corrupt, greedy, sociopathic man, but a man nonetheless. A man who would stop at nothing, trample anyone who got in his way, in his pursuit of wealth and power. The consequence of such single-minded greed is to disconnect oneself from the rest of society, and eventually, humanity itself. It becomes impossible to behave like a normal human. To think like a normal human. Eventually, there is nothing left but that corrupt lust for power. And where the mind goes, the body follows. Totally by coincidence, that final transformation happened about three minutes ago.

Naughty Sorceress Form All is "The Naughty Wolferess"The Naughty Sorceress shrieks and covers her face with her arms, which start growing thick brown hair. Her (already long) fingernails sharpen and harden into claws, and she lowers her hands to reveal -- gasp -- a sexy werewolf lady!

Va-va-va-voom! You howl with excitement, and perform the traditional wolf-whistle. Your eyes pop out of your skull like telescopes, your jaw hits the floor, and your tongue rolls out of it like they're rolling out the red carpet. *Yes, this happens even if you aren't normally into hot wolf ladies. Blame the beast form if you want, whatever. You gotta play along for the gag to work.

The Naughty Sorceress takes advantage of this distraction to crush your skull with a huge mallet. Fortunately, the temporarily elastic nature of your head prevents any damage, and it only shakes you out of your infatuated state.
