2013 - Very fun game where we managed to be one of a few in the world to run a 7 disc auto and climb to the top of the pyramid. Tremendous push by some great student designers to integrate the final climber into the robot.

2017 Steamworks was our team's favorite game because it was a very entertaining for spectators. It also allowed for more specialized robots (gear runners), that usually would not work at regionals (because all parts of the game are necessary and jack of all trade robots are necessary to become an alliance captain). We also liked the role of the airship pilot, because it provided a genuine role for human players and an extra element to match strategy and the unpredictability of match outcomes. We also liked how the rotor system provided a tough strategy call mid match (3 rotors and defense v try to finish the fourth rotor) because in other games the match strategies tend to be very similar between matches, so the rotors add excitement for the drive team and the spectators.

Our team is too big to have a single favorite. My favorite was 2016 because it both rewarded steady play for middle and lower level teams and had difficult challenges for top teams. Top level matches were very competitive and balanced.
