The National Community Solar Partnership (NCSP) Resource List is a comprehensive database of publicly available resources related to community solar, compiled and updated on a quarterly basis by the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) through its support for the NCSP, a U.S. Department of Energy initiative led by the Solar Energy Technologies Office. The list on the Resources tab of this workbook includes publicly available resources related to community solar in the U.S. Resource types include journal articles, reports, fact sheets, presentations, videos, datasets, modeling tools, webinars, and other formats. The purpose of the list is to make it easy for NCSP partners and others to find relevant resources pertaining to community solar market status, data analysis, policy and regulation, stakeholder engagement, and good practices of community solar development, among other topics.

Resource Categories and Descriptions

Community solar resources included in the list are tagged by category, along with additional keywords. A single resource may by tagged by multiple categories. Filter the Reources tab by category to find relevant resources in each category. Checkmarks highlighted green are the most relevant. See the Categories and Descriptions tab for the complete list. Use Ctrl+F to enter a keyword by which to search.

The December 2023 release includes the following updates:

Revised and New Categories and Descriptions
- Revised existing category names to make them more accurate and understandable.
- Added new categories:
- Educational Materials
- Goal Setting
- Resilience
- RFI/ RFP Development
- Site Selection and Interconnection
- Template Documents.
- Added category descriptions. Hover over the category name with your cursor to view the updated descriptions of the categories, or see the Categories and Descriptions tab.

Relevancy Ranking
The new relevancy ranking makes it easier to find relevant resources within each category. How it works:
- Green check means it is a very relevant resource
- Check means it is relevant resource
Relevancy was determined based on a review of the content of resource and how recently it was published.
Helpful Tip: Filter the category by color.
