Findspot of a spindle whorl of sandstone, discovered near -Knockshannoch-. It is 3cm in diameter and lightly incised with radiating lines. It is now in Dundee Museum.

William Milne learned the song in 1900 from his brother, who was then at Cammock in Glenisla. Mr Milne was working at Balmydoon at the time. He learned the song while both he and his brother were at their father's house in the Barns of Claverhouse. Balmydoon was where Mr Milne first drove a pair of horse.
