1. How can you shift priorities and time to support integration of technology into instruction?utilize structures that you already have in place; for example, professional learning communities; goal setting process, teacher professional development plan. Instead of it being somethign new, it becomes a new way to do the work you are already doing. Not one more new thing, repurposing time, not adding new uses of time.implement expectations that support the vision making the use of technology a priority that enhances instruction. Reestablish the importance of the ITRT as a technology COACH. Make better use of the time we already have to teach and/or showcase technology.Make the investment of professional development that takes time in order to actually use it. Faculty meetings that engage teachers in technology training instead of building info, etc. An expectation of grade level/vertical teams having short tech training scheduled each six weeks. Actual hands on training in the computer labs for teachers to learn and do make it where they bring an actual lesson.

What evidence will you accept that integration is occurring, keeping in mind that use and integration are separate?Observations on how the teacher is intergrating technology into the lesson to support the lesson. Talk to the teacher about how they are using technology and what student products has been produced and look at the lesson plans. Building conceptual understanding of content Fosters inquiry and investigation Applies skills and knowledge to other disciplines Create, transform, collaborate for real life experiences to demonstrate a true understanding of both the effective use of technology and the core content. ENGAGE and MOTIVATE students via project based learning and differentiation to MEET INDIVIDUAL NEEDS OF THE STUDENTS and not the teacher... REMEMBER students first. They can teach us and don't be afraid to learn from them. Let them show you and then you can show them. Give and take is key. * student products implemented in content area. * Observation of student engagement and collaboration in curriculum based activities * More in-depth understanding as measured by assessments. * Students have successfully navigated through new and different learning experiences.

What helps a leader move to higher levels of comfort and knowledge relative to technology integration?Training opportunities for leaders, seeing effective modeling by other administrators, seeing results or products that support integration. Willingness to take risks, seeing ourselves as learners.Seeing high quality effective instruction examples that are proven to enhance student learning. Being familiar with technology usage tools.Use technology to solve problems that leaders face; see how others use technology and integrate those ideas in the school. In order to learn how to integrate technology we need to use technology
