Students interested in Arts and Humanities and Social Sciences majors should plan to complete their 2 divisional foundation courses and 4-6 disciplinary or interdisciplinary major courses by the end of their sophomore year.

Students interested in Natural and Applied Sciences majors should plan to complete their 4-5 divisional foundation courses plus some of the disciplinary and interdisciplinary major courses by the end of the sophomore year. Ideally, this would include the required 2nd level science courses (General Phys 122 Physics 2, Chem 201 General Chemistry 2, Biol 201 Cell and Molecular Biology, and/or Biol 202 Genetics and Evolution as applicable), any additional required 200-level math courses, plus 1-3 additional disciplinary or interdisciplinary courses.
