Bill1.3+docp3Bill ?I can do the doc change, but I'm not sure what the content is to be? Exactly as in comment "comments from behle Sun Mar 1 23:41:27 -0700 2009"?

Steven2.xp2Lukas ErlinghagenStill a problem, we've never added doc to the Windows install. Seems to me a real good thing for Lukas to do during the summer.

Gary2.xp4Not part of Lukas' project as specified. Need a patch or MinGW expert to continue w/ this. I suggest asking the OP for more info.

Gary3.xp3draft choiceI thought you do this with -lshannon, not by putting libshannon.so on the link line. But I guess it would work if you did it that way. The ideal answer would be a way to handle all of these corner cases in a unified way, e.g. make it easier to set the shared attribute on a node.
49
Greg3.xp3draft choiceIn essence, he wants LIBS (and LIBPATH) to be honored for shared library builds. I can't see why not, but it's five years old already, so I can't see it as a priority.

Garydocp2?Unavoidable given export-by-name; doc issue (or just close w/ explanation)
62
Greg2.1p2who?Exported items are a global namespace, so it shouldn't be surprising, but it showed up on the mailing list, so maybe it should be documented under Export()/Import().

BillresearchGreg or MeThe bug has some attached taskmaster trace files, could Greg take a look at them and see if they point at the cause of the problem (or someone else who knows the taskmaster and it's tracefiles)?

Garyp4Bill?Originally my bug, but there are at least 2 decent workarounds there so I don't think it should be hi pri. I'll help if needed, but don't have any idea.
75
GregdamifinoThis is a "lazy action." Although I rewrote the Action code, that was in the original. I didn't understand it then, so maybe the original author should be consulted. Hey, Steven?

Stevenresearchbill?Go with someone who's already been looking at it. I wish the whole LazyAction thing. (I think that originated with Charles Crain...?) hadn't been introduced. The intended use is just lazy evaluation of a $ACTION variable to mean a completely different type of action, iirc, but it's always felt like a creaky mechanism.

Gary2.x, unless OP comes up with test and docp4fine w/ me. (This would be a great addition to a contrib/ repository as we've been discussing on the ML)
88
Greg2.x, unless OP comes up with test and docp4It's no more source-based than the Java() builder (which doesn't build .java files). Other than that, it seems very much a niche. Needs tests and doc, but it seems harmless. See if the OP is still around and ask if he can come up with some tests? His SF address still might work.

Garyfuturep2Is this a step toward a better way of doing DynamicSourceGenerator (see the wiki)? If so, I'm all in favor of it because that is a massive hack.
