Found in tropical and subtropical saltwater, hunting near the surface. Easily confused with Sturgeon, until you get to the teeth.

Found in brackish and fresh waters. In tropical or subtropical climes.

Rute onder are necrophagic fish known for escaping fishing rods. They have small feelers like a Gourami. Slightly sluglike body. Not edible at all.

Found in tropical and coastal waters.

Found in cool freshwater rivers and lakes. Active at night.

These spiny fish have a slimy taste and foul smell when cooked, leaving them tossed for beggars to consume. Its face resembles an Ichthid from the Shassar Sea.

Carp are easily identified by the diamond patterning of their scales. They can be difficult to hook.

Cod are a staple fish of many homes, with thick flaky meat. They're easily identified by the white stripe that runs along the top of their side.

Named for the mud it gulps down and spits to hunt its prey. Not a tasty fish by any means. Ugly to boot.

Salmon migrate upstream to avoid predators and spawn. Their skin is bright and colorful, the meat is rich and fatty. Even their eggs make a delicious snack.

Silversnips are flying fish with delicate, arching fins. Named for the silver snip of water when it leaps from the water. Considered a very luck fish for an angler to catch.

Trout are fast hunters, they strike aggressively and let go of hooks with skill.

Whitefish are a popular substitute for cod. Docile, easy to clean. Staple food in some regions.

Crogill are particularly aggressive, with mouths large enough to encompass their most common prey. Easily recognized by their dotted stripes and bright silver flesh.

Eels are long snake-like fish, that use powerful jaws, constriction, and other methods to catch their prey. All regions of Sanctuary have a particular method they prefer to prepare eel.

Kelpthie resemble undersea foliage in coloration and the flowing crown and fins. It hunts by adhering to its prey as it passes by its camouflaged location.

Notable for the whiskers around its mouth, and the sharp defensive spine on its back. This has caught many an unaware angler when cleaning the fish. The wound is painful, and prone to infection.

Sturgeon feed primarily on crustaceans. They're easily confused with Barracuda due to their similar shape. However, they lack teeth. Sturgeon eggs are also a delicacy in some regions of sanctuary.

Tarpon are an aggressive fish, with an ancient lineage. The meat isn't very good, but the fight to reel them in makes fishing worth it.

Borebrunt are burrowing fish with a nose like an awl. Large eyes, gaunt and sunken head, dirt coloration. Their strange appearance allows them to ambush their prey.

This mystically charming "fae fish" resembles creatures of myth and shadow. Identifiable by the colorful mane and whorled or spiral appearance of its scales. Older fish accumulate barnacles.

Gatefysk are a constricting fish which clamp down on prey with portcullis-like jaws, its distinguished by its lightly spotted deep grey skin.

The Moonspine is a large flat fish with distinct milky white coloration, and some red markings. Their docile nature makes them easy prey to more aggressive fish species.

Nocbrodd are large horned, reddish colored fish. They spawn rampantly and attack their spawn, considered "demons of the sea." They hunt by lancing larger prey and burrow in with their sharp teeth.

Ribwrights extrude feathered spines from their body, which they use to pierce prey. Their brilliant red/yellow/orange coloration and unfinned tail make them instantly recognizable.

Swordfish are large, horn billed fish which use their sword to slash prey. They batch spawn and are solitary. The meat is quite good.

Tuna are not particularly aggressive, or bright. They are massive, a single tuna can feed a village for a week.
