EXTRA FEEDBACK:
I enjoyed watching your test. Your horse appears to very obedient and willing and is certainly on the correct training path. Good job!
At times the steps become a little quick and hurried. Use your posting to regulate the tempo. Practice a steady up/down up/down; pay attention that you don’t begin to rush. You can emphasize the down part of the post to slow down and steps and just help the trot become more deliberate.
Work on stretching in both the walk and the trot. As you give in on the reins, the nose should stretch out and poll should go down to at least the point of the shoulder, or deeper. The idea is to lift the back and encourage more swing in the topline and therefore, in the gaits themselves.
Be sure on the loops that you make it all the way to X, and let your turn over X be more gradual. Give your horse a few strides to be balanced and maintain the suppleness of the contact as you turn and change the bend.
I found your position to be well aligned. Your arms are somewhat stiff, so practice really using your elbows to do your half halts. At home, exaggerate the following motions of the walk to get your arms moving. To be effective, our arms must move and follow the bit, yet remain soft. Keeping your elbows bent with your upper arms back a little will help you find this elasticity in the contact. The slower tempo as previously discussed will also help you sit a bit more securely and quietly.
