Week 8 of the AGI Safety Fundamentals programme consists of capstone projects to consolidate learning from the seminar portion of the course.

These projects allow participants to explore the parts of the course that excited you most; the goal is to help you practise taking an intellectually productive stance towards AGI safety - to go beyond reading and discussing existing ideas, and take a tangible step towards contributing to the field yourself. This is particularly valuable because it’s such a new field, with lots of room to explore. They're a great opportunity to develop knowledge, and start to develop your personal portfolio of work in the space.

How to use this resource
The tabs on this spreadsheet are made to be filled out by participants, facilitators, practitioners and others throughout the AGI Safety Fundamentals programme with project ideas.

This resource provides a space for participants to explore and gauge interest in their own ideas, and seek inspiration and ideas from others' suggestions. Feel free to share this document with people who can provide ideas for projects and mentorship, on an individual basis.

Have a low bar for adding projects; at the moment, more projects is better! Feel free to discuss ideas in the #technical-projects, #governance-projects channels.

Note for participants to the AGI Safety Fundamentals program: using projects from this list is optional. You can work on any projects you like, and don't have to work with others!
