NOTES AND ASSUMPTIONS
30
Assessments of "Fit" and "Effort" above are the author's own summary conclusions - not validated by actual completion of application forms and processes. High "fit" and low "effort" would be a priority target.
31
"Programs" included in our survey are defined granting programs (with associated criteria, processes and conditions) - exclude programs that offer training, consulting support and advice to proponents or general funding pitches (i.e. to local service organisations like Rotary, Kiwanis)
32
2022 Operation - Some programs are noted as not operating in 2022 but have been included in the hopes they will re-open in the future.
33
Support for Children - several programs focus their support on children (e.g., education, support for marginalised children) which we do not include
34
Support for Marginalized Individuals/Communities - several programs focus their support on marginalised or disadvantaged individuals/communities etc. While important objectives, these may not fit a community gardens' plan and therefore have been excluded
