|10/19/2021||Heisman Scholarship||from $1,000-$10,000||Students whose senior year of high school is the 2021-2022 academic year, graduating with the class of 2022.
Students who have at least a weighted “B” grade average (3.0 GPA) during grades 9, 10 and 11.
Students who participate or have particiated in grades 9, 10, or 11 in at least one of sports recognized by the International Olympic Committee in the Summer and Winter Olympic Games, the Paralympic Games or the National Federation of State High School Associations.
Students who have participated in volunteer service, community involvement or leadership within his/her school or community.
|10/23/21||YWE 2022 Fall Academic Scholarship||$10,000||Eligible applicants are female, graduating high school seniors from the Greater Houston area with exemplary academic records and demonstrated leadership potential. Eligible applicants must plan to attend an accredited four-year university or accredited two-year community college in the Fall of 2022 as a fulltime student. A letter of acceptance, proof of registration and payment instructions from the university must be presented to WEN’s scholarship panel prior to disbursement of awards.|
|10/28/2021||Soros Scholarship||up to $90,000||To be eligible for the 2022 Fellowship, you must meet the following requirements as of the October 28, 2021 application deadline:|
New American Status - Whether you were born in the United States or abroad, your birth parents must have both been born outside of the US as non-US citizens, and both parents must not have been eligible for US citizenship at the time of their respective births*. If you were born in the US then you must be the child of two immigrants. If you were born abroad then you must be a naturalized US citizen, possess a valid green card, have been granted refugee or asylee status in the US, or have graduated from both high school and college in the United States (this final category is inclusive of DACA recipients and applicants who will graduate from college by the Fall of 2022 are eligible).
*If you were raised by only one of your birth parents, the parent who raised you must have been born abroad as a non-US citizen, and your second birth parent must not have been part of your life growing up and is someone you have no contact with.

Applicants do not need to be related to a member of the Elks.
High school graduates are not eligible to apply.
Applicants must be citizens of the United States on the date their applications are submitted; permanent legal resident status does not qualify.
|SOON||Burger King Scholarship||$4,000||High school seniors are invited to apply for the Burger King Scholars program if they live in the United States, Canada or Puerto Rico; have a cumulative high school grade point average of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, or the equivalent; be active in their community through volunteering, sports, clubs and/or religious organizations; and plan to enroll full-time in 2022-23 at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical school in the U.S., Canada or Puerto Rico.|
