to improve milk production during dry season(DF of PCC at CLSU).
development of a probiotic supplement for improving calf health and nutrition
Use of new forage Super napier as forage resource, developing the agri-mgt for CBED clients
* Profitability of CBED thru the multiplier farm concept
* Use of flushing w/ concentrate supplementation to increase milk production and enhanced reproduction in dairy buffaloes

* Dairy/meat products developed by PCC @ CLSU
a. Rice coffee milk
b. Whey vinegar
c. Energy drink from whey
d. Beef tapa
e. Cara-corned beef
Development of improved nutrition such as the use milk replacer for calves, establishment and testing of complete nutrient diets, use of TMR, enhanced forgare production and conservation, adoption of FTAI, bull loan, use of breeding calendar, standardization of herd health program, production of hygienic milk through QCS, product development, strengthened linkages w/ diff. stakeholders, continuous capcity building of stakeholders,Enhancing milk production of buffaloes thru S & T interventions

- Reduction of mineral defficiency related mortalities and illness
- On time AI service, Increase conception rate, AI effeciency

- For pasture and forage development
- reduction of farm production cost

5LCSFAriel Abaquitacomplete confinement greatly reduced cases of fascioliasis
Community-based crossbred dairying
5-cow dairy module
home-based milk processing
networking with academic institutions (SUCs and private) for R&D activities
the animals were completely unexposed to carriers and/or intermediate hosts as they are prevented to roam and graze in the pasture
-homebased milk processing are for trained farmer/household groups/associations

complete confinement is not an assurance for non infection of liverfluke, unless the source of forage is not contaminated (joe)
11
6MLPCCecelio Velezcomplete grazing on dairy animals
strenghtening of linkages with RIZ stakeholders
administration of anti-coccidial drug at 3 days old calf
reduced of cost of production and increase profitability
willing and responsive partners
reduced calf scouring
How this could be operationalized? ASS

7MMSUGrace Marjorie Rectaprivatized AI, VBAITs as Bull handlers, performing VBAITs as farmer-trustees of Italian buffalos
as an El Nino measure, making silage using rice straw or corn peelings and tomato pomace (a waste product of tomato paste processing by the Northern Foods Corporation) - this will partly solve problem on feed scarcity during summer in the Ilocos.
Early introduction of grasses and concentrates to calves
Elevated pens for calf rearing
some VBAITs are now purchasing all their AI supplies (except semen) - to demonstrate feasibility of full privatization;
Is this the paper you presented at the PSAS? No - we have just started this - the PSAS paper only showed the 'government savings' using VBAITs. This time, we want to see how much the VBAIT could really earn. - OK. Don't you have existing data enough to determine how much each VBAIT earned in your area?
